‘Like Someone’s Telling Democrats What To Say’: Dems Mass Post Scripted Videos Ahead Of Trump Speech

Democrats pushed out almost identical video messages on Tuesday morning ahead of President Donald Trump’s first joint address to Congress of his second term.

Democratic Sens. Cory Booker (NJ), Chuck Schumer (NY), Elizabeth Warren (MA), and many others posted videos to their social media accounts on Tuesday morning attacking Trump over inflation, government cuts, and other issues.

Trump will address a joint session of Congress in a format similar to a State of the Union address. The topic of Trump’s speech will be “The Renewal of the American Dream,” according to CBS News.

“TOMORROW NIGHT WILL BE BIG. I WILL TELL IT LIKE IT IS!” Trump posted to his Truth Social account on Monday.

The speech will feature a number of special guests. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) is planning to bring White House border czar Tom Homan and Olivia Hayes, a young widow from his district whose husband was killed by an illegal immigrant.

Johnson has also invited Noa Argamani to attend. Argamani is an Israeli woman who was kidnapped on October 7, 2023, and spent eight months in Hamas captivity before being rescued by Israeli soldiers.

Democrats are trying to characterize Trump’s speech before it happens through an apparently mass coordinated messaging push. The videos that repeated the same talking points almost entirely word for word drew mockery online.

“It’s almost like someone’s telling Democrats what to say,” GOP Sen. Mike Lee of Utah posted on X.

GOP Sen. Eric Schmitt of Missouri sarcastically posted, “Look guys we lost the election in part because people think we are disconnected from the average person – I have an idea… let’s post canned speeches and act like they’re real!”

The popular Trump War Room X account compared the Democratic lawmakers to a crowd of drones.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
