Secret Service Pups Play In The Snow At White House

Members of the Secret Service let some of their K-9 pups out to run around and play in the snow on Wednesday after winter had fallen on the lawn of the White House.

A post on X from a freelancer shared a series of terrific photos showing the Secret Service agents at the White House throwing things like snowballs in the air and the dogs jumping in the air to catch them.

“Secret Service gives White House apprehension K-9s a runabout in the snow and some practice nabbing intruders by taking out a few snowballs,” the post read.

In a second post, the freelancer wrote that the, “Secret Service K-9 was having quite a bit of fun in the snow.”

The pictures included in the post showed one of the sweet dogs clearly enjoying his time in the snow as he was running across the lawn that had been covered in the fluffy white powder.

More than six inches have been dumped on Washington, D.C., as of Tuesday amid winter storms hitting the mid-Atlantic area and Appalachian mountains, Yahoo News reported. It blanketed the White House, National Mall, and U.S. Capitol in white.

The beauty of the snow-covered White House and its grounds didn’t escape others, who have since shared pictures online, including The Daily Wire’s own White House Correspondent, Mary Margaret Olohan, who posed for a photo with the White House in the background covered in snow.

“Snowy briefing day at the White House!” Olohan wrote in her post on X, which included a snowflake and American flag emoji.

“White House / Behind the Scenes … A pretty snow at the White House,” another post read, showing outside snaps of both the West Wing of the White House and the Rose Garden on Tuesday completely blanketed in snow.

Another system is expected to hit the western part of the country on Thursday, bringing a huge winter storm to the Rocky Mountains and Sierra Nevadas on Thursday, with potential for even more snow hitting the midwest, plains, and Northeast, Yahoo News noted.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
