Leftists Crash Out Over ‘Whiteness’ Of Sexy Sydney Sweeney Jean Ads

Left-wing critics are continuing to crash out over an American Eagle Outfitters ad campaign for their fall jean collection with actress Sydney Sweeney, deeming the ads racist and Nazi-coded.

As covered by The Daily Wire, the ad campaign plays on the concept of good genetics and blue jeans — using the tagline, “Sydney Sweeney has good jeans.”

In one of the ads, Sweeney says, “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”

An MSNBC op-ed said the American Eagle ads were evidence of the “unbridled cultural shift toward whiteness,” which the author suggested was “ugly and startling.”

“The internet has been quick to condemn the advertisement as noninclusive at best and as overtly promoting ‘white supremacy’ and ‘Nazi propaganda’ at worst,” the op-ed reads, calling some of this criticism “fair.”

“These critics point to the copy and the implication of calling a white person superior because of their genes,” the piece continues, adding that the “campaign feels regressive and not retro, offensive and not cheeky.”

Good Morning America also threw a fit over the ads:

A writer posted on Instagram that the campaign is promoting “eugenics” and “Nazi propaganda.” “And it’s BLATANT,” the person said. “Like, you don’t even need media literacy. It’s that on-the-nose obvious.”

Another woman criticized American Eagle for using Sweeney in the ad, since the actress looks like she “walked straight off a Nazi propaganda poster.”

The ads were called “fascist weird” and “Nazi propaganda weird” by another female critic.

On the contrary, the ads are creating a lot of buzz online about the death of “woke” marketing — and the American Eagle stock is on the rise.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
