State Department Fires Foreign Service Officer in Secret Relationship with Chinese Communist

President Donald Trump’s State Department has fired a foreign service officer who admitted to hiding a relationship with a woman who had known ties to the Chinese Communist Party, the department confirmed to The Daily Signal.

Investigative journalist James O’Keefe uncovered that Foreign Service Officer Daniel Choi admitted on a hidden camera to hiding his relationship with the daughter of a senior Chinese Communist Party official.

“This termination is consistent with the executive order signed by President Trump affirming both his constitutional authority over our foreign policy and the State Department’s responsibility to carry out his directives,” Tommy Pigott, principal deputy spokesperson at State, said in a statement shared with The Daily Signal. “Under Secretary Rubio’s leadership, we will maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any employee who is caught undermining our country’s national security.”

Trump signed an executive order in February stating that “All officers or employees charged with implementing the foreign policy of the United States must under Article II do so under the direction and authority of the President.”

“Failure to faithfully implement the President’s policy is grounds for professional discipline, including separation,” the order said.

Choi admitted on the hidden camera that the woman “could have been a spy.” He said her father was “straight up communist party.”

The FSO was required to report this contact to State Department security officials, but he said that “I defied my government for love.”

““I was supposed to, whatever, sort of report what I knew about her, but I always thought that was kind of unfair,” Choi said in the video.

As a result, Secretary of State Marco Rubio preliminarily recommended to the president that the FSO demonstrated performance or conduct that warrants removal.

After White House review of the facts and circumstances, Rubio was permitted to proceed with terminating Choi’s employment.

The State Department believes this is the first case of an FSO violating the February executive order.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
