‘Full Support Donald’ PAC Takes Aim at Florida Republican

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Entrepreneur James Fishback started the Full Support for Donald PAC to counter Elon Musk’s efforts to create a third political party. Now that Musk’s threats have quieted, the Full Support for Donald PAC will set its sights on bringing down Rep. Maria Salazar, a Florida Republican who sponsored a bill that would provide amnesty to illegal aliens.
“What President [Donald] Trump is doing is so important for the country, and we cannot let anyone sabotage that. Not Elon Musk. Looks like he’s backed off. Not Maria Salazar. Looks like she’s doubling down. And not anyone else,” Fishback told The Daily Signal in an exclusive interview.
Fishback, 30, announced the concept of the Full Support for Donald PAC, a play on Tesla’s “full self-driving” vehicle, at the beginning of July after former Department of Government Efficiency head Musk said he would create a third “America Party.” Fishback is dedicating $1 million from his own pocket to the PAC.
“FSD stands for ‘full support for Donald,’ not just the man, but the movement that he has created,” Fishback said. “A movement of working class Americans from all stars and stripes who want to see not mass amnesty, but mass deportations, who don’t want to see us send more money abroad, but to invest here at home. And so it is an ‘America First’ investment in defending President Trump.”
Fishback, a former DOGE adviser, founder of investment firm Azoria Partners, and Tesla shareholder, wrote a letter to the Tesla board asking it to clarify Musk’s political ambitions after his fallout with Trump. Since then, the board has addressed it, and Musk has largely stopped tweeting about the America Party.
With Musk appearing to no longer be interfering with Trump’s agenda, Fishback is redirecting his energy to getting Salazar, a Republican who represents Miami-Dade County, primaried.
“We are going to focus on races where people are acting in a way that backstabs the president and his voters, 80 million of us, and that would be Maria Salazar,” said Fishback, a Florida Panhandle resident. “Maria Salazar is target No. 1 for FSD, because we did not vote for mass amnesty.”
Salazar introduced a bill called the DIGNITY Act, which would grant legal status to illegal immigrants in the United States, an idea critics decry as a mass amnesty program. Salazar has denied that her program promotes mass amnesty, as immigrants would not be granted citizenship. She did not immediately respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment about Fishback’s challenge.
Fishback will back Dan Foganholi, a Florida State Board of Education member appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“He grew up 30 minutes from Salazar’s district,” Fishback said. “He knows something that Salazar’s constituents know, which is that we didn’t vote for mass amnesty but we voted for mass deportations, and that’s going to be a little bit ugly at times.”
“We recognize that there are going to be moments where the media is going to take things out of context,” he continued, “but standing up for mass deportations is standing up for the dignity of every single American who’s had their jobs stolen by somebody in this country illegally, every single child who’s been pushed aside in the classroom by the children of illegal immigrants who have been thrown in that classroom, who have been upset by that status as well.”
Fishback’s PAC is also watching the races of the 20 Republican co-sponsors of Salazar’s bill.
Whoever becomes the Republican nominee will likely win Salazar’s majority-Republican district, but right now, the Republican incumbent is a Republican in name only, Fishback said.
“She’s globalist, open-border RINO who cares more about her so-called illegal immigrant constituents than the working class folks in Florida District 27,” Fishback said. “That’s unacceptable.”
Fishback remains ready to thwart challenges from Musk to Trump-aligned “America First” candidates, but he thinks Musk’s actions show that he has taken a step back politically to focus on Tesla and SpaceX.
“I care about what he’s doing as opposed to what he’s saying,” Fishback said. “The truth is, for the last two weeks, he hasn’t even mentioned the America Party online, let alone filed anything, let alone identified a race.”
As a Tesla shareholder, Fishback thinks Musk can have the greatest impact by growing the economy through private sector innovation.
“I’m grateful for Elon stepping away,” Fishback said. “He recognizes that President Trump is doing a great job and that Elon can have his maximum impact not in Washington, but at the Gigafactory at Fremont [a Tesla manufacturing plant] and, of course, at Starbase [SpaceX’s launch and manufacturing site], by setting these incredible rockets up and then bringing them right back down.”
Fishback is the founder of Azoria 500 Meritocracy ETF, an anti-diversity, equity, and inclusion; anti-ESG investment firm that launched at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. He is the originator of the idea of the DOGE stimulus checks, a proposed one-time payment of $5,000 to eligible taxpayers that would come from the savings from DOGE’s cuts to the federal government.
The entrepreneur donates 5% of his profits to pro-life pregnancy centers.
“If my friends on the other side who are pro-choice were actually pro-choice, they would be for crisis pregnancy centers,” he said, “because they actually give women a choice.”
