Trump Admin Hits Antifa With Very First Terrorism Charges In Anti-ICE Attack

The Trump administration filed its first terrorism case against Antifa after a cell of militants shot up a Texas immigration detention center in a summer ambush.

A federal grand jury indicted two alleged members of Antifa, Cameron Arnold and Zachary Evetts, on Wednesday with charges of providing material support for terrorism, attempting to murder federal and assisting officers, and discharging firearms during attempted murders, according to court documents obtained by Fox News.

“As @POTUS has made clear, Antifa is a left-wing terrorist organization. They will be prosecuted as such,” Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X Thursday.

Mask-wearing anarchists lured Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents out of the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, on July 4 before shooting bullets in their direction, according to court documents.

When police began to respond, Arnold yelled, “Get to the rifles!” according to the indictment.

It was only “seconds later” that Arnold “opened fire on the officers, striking the Alvarado officer in the neck area as the unarmed correctional officers ducked and ran for cover,” the indictment read.

“The wounded officer fell to the ground but was able to return a few shots. Coconspirator-1 continued to fire additional rounds until his rifle jammed. The attackers then left the scene,” it added.

Ten suspects were initially arrested, while former Marine Corps Reservist Benjamin Hanil Song, who also allegedly fired upon federal agents during the attack, was on the run for a week before he was nabbed.

Upon searching the attack scene, cops found cans of spray paint and flyers stating, “FIGHT ICE TERROR WITH CLASS WAR!” and “FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS,” and a flag that read, “RESIST FACISM – FIGHT OLIGARCHY.”

Official vehicles were also vandalized with the words “traitor” and “ice pig.”

President Donald Trump recently designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization following a surge of leftist violence against federal immigration authorities and conservatives.

“I am pleased to inform our many U.S.A. Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices,” Trump wrote when he made the designation.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
