Israeli Government, Politicians, and Activists Call for Trump to Receive Nobel Peace Prize Following Israel-Hamas Deal

A chorus of voices are calling for President Donald Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and hostage release deal.

“Give [Trump] the Nobel Peace Prize—he deserves it,” the Prime Minister of Israel X account posted Thursday morning.

“Undoubtedly, President Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize,” Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, who is Jewish, wrote on social media after Trump announced the peace deal.

Trump has “achieve what many said was impossible,” Republican commentator Nora Lee Notzon told GB News Thursday morning.

“Israelis rarely agree on anything, but today we’re united: President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize,” Eylon Levy, the former spokesman for the State of Israel, said Thursday.

Calls for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize follow breaking news Wednesday evening that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a deal to end the war that began two years ago following the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel that left 1,200 dead and another 251 hostage in Gaza.

Last week, Trump presented a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, disarm Hamas, and bring all the hostages home. Israel accepted Trump’s full plan, and Hamas accepted parts of the plan, but said “details” needed to be negotiated.

Mediators from the U.S., Turkey, and Qatar have been in Egypt since Monday working to reach a deal both Israel and Hamas could agree to. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who worked to broker the Abraham Accords, arrived in Egypt late Tuesday night alongside Steve Witkoff, U.S. special envoy to the Middle East. On Wednesday evening, Israel and Hamas both agreed to the first phase of the deal, which includes the release of the 20 living hostages still in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. Both Israel and Hamas have now signed the first phase of the deal.

Author and Israel advocate Aviva Klompas shared an image on X after news of the deal broke of a farmer’s field in Israel carefully plowed to read, “Nobel 4 Trump.”

“Give the man the Nobel Prize,” Klompas wrote.

Leader of the Opposition Party in Israel Yair Lapid issued a video statement calling on the Nobel committee to “award President Trump the Nobel Peace Prize.”

“He did something unbelievable,” Lapid continued. “I thank him, I thank his team: Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Marco Rubio, and Tony Blair.”

The Nobel Committee will announce the winner of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize on Friday morning.

Trump has made no secret of the fact that he would like to receive the prize.

“They will never give me a Nobel Peace Prize. It’s too bad. I deserve it, but they will never give it to me,” Trump said in February during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In addition to the war between Israel and Hamas, Trump has played a role in bringing to an end about half a dozen conflicts since his return to the White House, including India and Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and Israel and Iran.

Trump is expected to travel to the Middle East in the coming days. The president has been invited to deliver a speech to Israel’s parliament and has also received an invitation from Egypt.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
