SHOCKER: Barely Anyone Went To See Anti-Israel Oscar Winner For Best Doc

“No Other Land” won Best Documentary at this year’s Academy Awards despite having less cultural influence and fewer viewers than the hit DailyWire+ documentary, “Am I Racist?”

The past two winners in the category include “20 Days in Mariupol” and “Navalny,” which were both critical of Russia. This year’s winning selection was made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four activists seeking to paint Israel as the aggressor in the ongoing conflict by highlighting the destruction of a West Bank village.

During his acceptance speech, Israeli filmmaker Yuval Abraham blamed United States foreign policy for the lack of resolution in the conflict.

Producers had to self-distribute the film in the United States after no major studios picked it up. “No Other Land” was the highest grossing documentary of all the nominees yet earned only $420,000 at the domestic box office.

It was disappointing, but not surprising when the Oscars snubbed “Am I Racist?” from being a nominee despite its massive success.

“Am I Racist?,” which features Daily Wire author and podcast host Matt Walsh exposing the DEI grift, outperformed any other documentary this year. Additionally, “Am I Racist?” is one of only 15 documentaries ever to open in over 1,500 theaters and earned the third-highest opening day gross for a documentary in the last decade.

The film also exceeded expectations at the box office, grossing more than $12 million and debuting in the top five films in the country on its opening weekend. “Am I Racist?” went on to become the top-grossing documentary of the decade.

Even the entertainment outlet Deadline described the film’s omission from the nominee list as a “snub,” noting how it made “more money at the box office than any other documentary this year, by far.”

Walsh weighed in on the decision right after the nominees were announced.

“The Academy Awards announced the shortlist for documentaries,” Walsh posted to X in December. “These are their top 15 films in the genre that will be whittled down to 5 nominees. ‘Am I Racist?’ did not make the top 15 even though it is the highest grossing doc of the decade and easily the most talked about, most watched, and most influential documentary of this year.”

“This is the outcome I expected, of course, but it doesn’t make it any less of a farce,” he added.

Daily Wire co-founder and “Am I Racist?” executive producer Jeremy Boreing said the snub was shocking considering the film’s massive success.

“I have to say, I am genuinely surprised by this result,” he said at the time the nominees were announced. “I truly thought they would have to acknowledge AIR, if only to save face.”

Later, the nominees were whittled down to five finalists: “Black Box Diaries,” “No Other Land,” “Porcelain War,” “Soundtrack to a Coup D’Etat,” and “Sugarcane.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
