Trump Considers Selling His Tesla As Elon Musk Presses For Meeting

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump is considering selling the Tesla he bought from Elon Musk, The Daily Wire has learned.

Musk has repeatedly asked to meet with the president on Friday, a senior White House office said, following his very public and dramatic outburst on X on Thursday, when he repeatedly criticized the president and accused him of covering up the Jeffrey Epstein files to protect himself.

Trump, the official shared with The Daily Wire, is focused on getting the “One Big Beautiful Bill” passed and does not plan to speak with Musk on Friday. He’s also considering selling the red Tesla that he bought from Musk in March, when Tesla delivered five of its cars to the White House for Trump to inspect — which he did, with Musk by his side.

As of Friday morning, the Tesla is parked outside the White House. It is an all-wheel-drive red Model S Plaid that was previously listed on the Tesla website for $88,490.

POLITICO reported Thursday that White House aides were urging the president to avoid escalating the fight with Musk, urging the president to take a phone call from the billionaire CEO. During a phone call with ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl on Friday morning, Trump said that he was “not particularly” interested in talking to Elon.

The president also told CNN: “I won’t be speaking to [Musk] for a while I guess, but I wish him well.”

“I’m not even thinking about Elon,” Trump added. “He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
