WATCH: Joe Rogan, Kash Patel React In Real-Time To Musk’s Wild Trump Accusation

As President Donald Trump and Elon Musk feuded on Thursday, FBI Director Kash Patel was recording an episode with podcast giant Joe Rogan, and the two reacted to Musk’s Epstein Files accusation against Trump while the cameras were rolling.
As the fight between Trump and Musk escalated, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote on X, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” He added in a follow-up: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
Rogan read Musk’s post as he was recording an episode with Patel that dropped on Friday.
“I’m not participating in any of that conversation,” Patel said after Rogan read the post.
“Someone should take his phone away,” Rogan said of Musk.
“Jesus Christ, that’s a crazy thing to say,” Rogan added. “How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein Files? Does he have access to the Epstein Files?”
“I don’t know how he would,” Patel replied. “But I’m just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing. That’s way outside my lane.”
“What the f*** are they doing?” Rogan asked. “I understand he owns Twitter [X]. I think it’s bad for your mental health. I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you.”

Musk’s Epstein Files post was the culmination of a battle between Trump and Musk that began when the president said he was “very disappointed” with Musk, rebuking his former senior adviser for criticizing the “Big, Beautiful Bill.” Trump has not responded specifically to the Epstein allegation, but he did threaten to end government subsidies and contracts for Musk’s companies. Musk, meanwhile, threatened to decommission the SpaceX Dragon capsule, which would prevent astronauts from traveling to the International Space Station. Musk later backed down from his threat.

Musk later signaled that he wanted to talk to Trump to smooth things over, but the president said he was “not particularly” interested in a discussion.
“I won’t be speaking to [Musk] for a while I guess, but I wish him well,” Trump told CNN Friday morning.
“I’m not even thinking about Elon,” he added. “He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem.”
