We Have a Duty to Remember How Bad Things Were Under Biden

In the second Trump administration, it feels as though news moves at 1,000 miles per hour, leaving us with constant whiplash. Even so, we have a duty to remember how bad things were under President Joe Biden, because the institutional factors that enabled his presidency—and the coverup of his health problems—have yet to be dismantled.
Human beings are fickle, and our memories often end up getting twisted by present concerns. When the Israelites were hungry in the wilderness, God had to remind them that he brought them up out of slavery in Egypt, because their hungry stomachs led them to say they had it better under the whips of their masters (Exodus 16:1-8).
Similarly, we are often tempted to leave injustices in the past, because it’s easier to move on. Thus, after the COVID-19 pandemic, some voices I respect called for a “pandemic amnesty.”
Yet COVID exposed the corruption of the public health bureaucracy, which repeatedly lied to the American people. Bureaucrats abused their power—forcing churches to close, demanding businesses shutter, and keeping kids out of the classroom.
These abuses show why Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s shakeup of the public health establishment is way overdue. We must remember the abuses, so we accept the hard medicine we now need. If we forget, we may not address the corruption at the root of these problems, and the excesses of the bureaucracy will metastasize like Biden’s prostate cancer.
Biden’s Hidden Diagnosis?
I wish the former president a speedy recovery, but doctors poured cold water on Biden’s announcement that he was only diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer last Friday. While some experts advise against prostate cancer testing past age 70, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel—a veteran of both the Obama and Biden administrations—said the president likely knew he had cancer all the way back in 2021, if not before.
The cancer revelation draws attention to the overall dynamic of the Biden presidency—the constant dismissal of any health concerns. It also comes just after the audio from Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur revealed horrifying pauses that suggest the president wasn’t all there mentally.
As with COVID, many Americans may be tempted to move on. After all, Biden is no longer president. What does it matter?
It matters a great deal.
Biden Enabled the Woketopus
The Biden presidency enabled the institutional Left to ride roughshod over the American people. The White House, the legacy media, the Democrat Party, and others fought hard to downplay any health concerns because they used Biden as the figurehead for enacting their agenda.
Under Biden, approximately 10 million illegal aliens entered the U.S. I saw video of a Venezuelan gang going door to door with weapons in an apartment complex not far from where I went to high school.
Under Biden, the federal government championed gender ideology, running roughshod over fairness in women’s sports and concerns about safety and privacy in women’s spaces. The White House even commemorated Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday.
Under Biden, pro-life protesters faced prison time while pro-abortion vandals mostly got off scot-free.
Under Biden, the federal government subsidized less reliable forms of energy to the tune of billions while Americans struggled with inflation and rising energy costs.
The previous four years made me miss the America I grew up in, because the United States’ cold reality bore no resemblance to the land of opportunity I remember. It will take more than your years to undo all this damage, especially since the institutional Left isn’t just waiting in the wings for the next president, but actively undermining Trump’s reforms.
The bureaucrats in the federal government already lean left, and a recent poll found that 75% of the D.C.-based bureaucrats who voted for Kamala Harris in the last election said they would not follow a lawful Trump order if they consider it bad policy.
At the same time, the woke activist groups that staffed and advised the Biden administration—which I revealed in my book “The Woketopus: The Dark Money Cabal Manipulating the Federal Government”—are now filing lawsuits to block Trump from reversing these policies.
These activist groups file suits in jurisdictions where judges are more likely to side with them, leading to nationwide injunctions before the Supreme Court steps in.
Under Biden, the institutional Left revealed that it has no shame. Legacy media outlets, leading Democrats, and activist groups will lie to the face of the American people if it protects their agenda.
That’s why Americans cannot afford to forget this scandal and the way things were under Biden.
Like the Israelites in the wilderness, we may be tempted to return to the whips of our former masters. That’s why we cannot afford to forget what happened. Biden won’t be returning to the Oval Office, but the Woketopus is itching to insert its tentacles deeper into the federal government.
