Ayatollah Rejects Trump’s Call For Surrender, Says The United States Will Suffer ‘Irreparable’ Harm

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, rejected President Donald Trump’s calls for unconditional surrender on Wednesday.

“It isn’t wise to tell the Iranian nation to surrender,” he posted to X. “What should the Iranian nation surrender to? We will never surrender in response to the attacks of anyone. This is the logic of the Iranian nation. This is the spirit of the Iranian nation.”

In another tweet, he criticized Trump for his “absurd rhetoric” and “demands that the Iranian people surrender to him,” adding that he should “make threats against those who are afraid of being threatened. The Iranian nation isn’t frightened by such threats.”

Khamenei’s tweets came after Trump demanded “unconditional surrender” on Tuesday, saying the United States knows “exactly” where Khamenei is hiding.

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding,” the president posted. “He is an easy target, but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”

So far, Israel has killed at least 20 of Iran’s top military leaders, damaged key nuclear facilities, destroyed more than a third of Iran’s missile launchers, and hit over 1,100 targets around Iran.

In subsequent tweets, Khamenei warned the United States against entering the conflict, stating that “the damage it will suffer will be far greater than any harm that Iran may encounter.”

“The harm the US will suffer will definitely be irreparable if they enter this conflict militarily,” he posted.

In another tweet he added that it “was already suspected” that the United States was involved in Israel’s attacks, but “considering their recent remarks, this suspicion is growing stronger day by day.”

TRUMP HAS BEEN CLEAR FOR 14 YEARS THAT IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON

On Thursday, Trump said that “we” control the skies over Iran.

“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” Trump said. “Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”

Following Israel’s attack on Iran last Thursday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the United States was not involved in the assault and warned against the Iranian regime attacking American military personnel stationed in the region. In recent days, the United States has taken indirect actions to help support Israel, including shooting down Iranian missiles.

In response to Israel’s attack, Khamenei initially said that “the Zionist regime has opened its dirty and bloody hand to commit a crime in our beloved country.”

“With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter and painful fate, and it will surely meet it,” he added.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
