Karoline Leavitt: Jill Biden ‘Needs To Answer’ For Husband’s Health Cover-Up

Jill Biden should testify to what she knew about her husband’s mental and physical health and when she knew it, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

Leavitt ripped into the former first lady during a press briefing on Thursday after she fielded a question about Congressional Republicans considering subpoenas for former President Joe Biden’s inner circle. The White House press secretary said Jill Biden should “certainly” speak openly about her husband’s infirmities.

“I think, frankly, the former first lady should certainly speak up about what she saw in regards to her husband and when she saw it and what she knew,” said Leavitt, adding, “because I think anybody looking again at the videos and photo evidence of Joe Biden with your own eyes and a little bit of common sense can see this was a clear cover-up. Jill Biden was certainly complicit in that cover-up.”

“There’s documentation, video evidence of her clearly shielding her husband away from the cameras. They were just on ‘The View’ last week. She was saying everything is fine,” Leavitt continued. “She’s still lying to the American people. She still thinks the American public are so stupid that they’re going to believe her lies, and, frankly, it’s insulting and she needs to answer for it.”

Republican Rep. James Comer (KY), who chairs the House Oversight Committee, suggested on Wednesday night that both Bidens and former Chief of Staff Ron Klain could receive subpoenas to testify on the former president’s use of an autopen to sign official documents.

“Wherever the trail leads is where we’re going to bring them in. And look, I would love to ask Joe Biden a lot of questions, but right now, we’re starting with the staffers who are operating the autopen,” said Comer on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

“Obviously, we believe that some of the names, like the chief of staff and perhaps the first lady, were involved in a lot of the decision-making. If that’s where the trail leads, then we’ll bring them in as well,” he added.

Biden’s diagnosis of prostate cancer earlier this month has added to the debate around his health and whether he was fit to sit as President of the United States. It has also added to the questions around who knew what about the former president’s health, and how widespread the cover-up was to keep the severity of Biden’s frail state hidden from the American people.

A new House resolution would create a committee to probe the questions and cover-up around the former president’s health.
