‘MUST Be Prosecuted’: Conservatives React To Tulsi Bombshell On Obama Russia Hoax

Conservatives are calling for accountability and the prosecution of bad actors involved in the Russian collusion hoax outlined on Friday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

Gabbard declassified documents revealing the Obama administration changed intelligence assessments after the 2016 election to create a narrative of Russian interference, despite earlier intelligence community findings that Russia “did not impact” the election through cyber activities, The Daily Wire reported.

“Every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Gabbard asserted, adding that she was “providing all documents” to the Department of Justice to deliver “accountability.”

Conservatives underscored the gravity of the report, while noting it was just more confirmation to what the public has known for years. Some called for former President Barack Obama and others involved to be prosecuted, highlighting the Biden Justice Department’s pursuit and imprisonment of January 6 defendants and the Democrats’ prosecution of President Donald Trump, who at the time was a former president.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said “accountability” was “long overdue.”

“DISMANTLING THE DEEP STATE!” he wrote. “New evidence from [Tulsi Gabbard] confirms what we’ve long known: The Russia hoax was a political hit job manufactured by Obama officials and weaponized by intel agencies to take down President Trump. Accountability is long overdue!”

Journalist Nick Sorter highlighted Gabbard saying the documents reveal that a “treasonous conspiracy” was committed by Obama administration officials.

Daily Wire host Matt Walsh agreed that those involved should be prosecuted, but expressed skepticism that this would actually happen.

“Unpopular opinion but I don’t care about this unless they actually arrest and prosecute the culprits, including Obama,” he wrote. “You cannot allege a ‘treasonous conspiracy’ and then do nothing about it.”

“The typical pattern by Republicans since forever is to make these kinds of claims (which I don’t doubt by the way), but to make them on Twitter and Fox News, and never actually bring it to a court of law so that the parties responsible can be held accountable for their crimes,” Walsh continued. “I’m tired of it. Go arrest these people and bring them to justice. Then I’ll care. If you won’t do that then what does any of this matter?”
