A Precarious State | A Documentary (of Democratic Socialist Control in Minnesota)

In 2020 the Covid 19 Global Pandemic rocked the nation, causing illness and death, shuttering businesses, and devastating state economies. That same year, Minnesota had a second reckoning, the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis Police Officer, followed by the rioting and torching of the city. Now, more than 5 years later many US city and state economies have bounced back. But by all accounts, MSP and Minnesota more broadly has not. The question is why? How much of it has to do with the events of 2020 and how state and city governments have responded to the poly-crisis of the pandemic and social justice reckoning in the years since. More importantly, what can be done now to ensure this once thriving city - and state - will rebound and continue to grow & prosper, for the benefit of all? BoogieFinger

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
