Biden Team Provides Update On Cancer Battle, Radiation Therapy

Former President Joe Biden is receiving radiation treatment for about five weeks for his advanced prostate cancer, according to a spokesperson.

“As part of a treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment,” the spokesperson said.

Biden has been taking a pill form of hormone medication, according to NBC News.

The 82-year-old’s team says Biden is “doing well.”

Biden first disclosed his aggressive cancer diagnosis back in May, mere months after he left office. At the time, it was reported that Biden had metastatic prostate cancer that had moved from the prostate all the way to his bones.

The diagnosis brought well-wishes and prayers from both sides of the political aisle, but it also raised questions — specifically, when did Biden insiders know about the cancer and how long did they wait to tell the public?

As noted by Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro, prostate cancer is not a fast-moving cancer, and usually takes years to develop to the point of metastasis.

There have also been questions surrounding Biden’s mental fitness and his use of the “autopen” while he was serving as president.

In June, President Donald Trump signed a memo ordering an investigation into the matter, specifically calling for Counsel to the President to look into whether aides improperly used an autopen for executive actions in an effort to conceal Biden’s health issues while in office.

The memo directs officials to determine if “certain individuals conspired to deceive the public about Biden’s mental state and unconstitutionally exercise the authorities and responsibilities of the President.”

Additionally, there’s a House Oversight Committee investigation into the matter.
