Beginning at 7 p.m. ET, national correspondent Tony Kinnett will host five hours of live midterm election night news on the Daily Signal’s YouTube channel and through the nationally syndicated “The Tony Kinnett Cast.”

Kinnett and his guests will follow the battle for control of the House and Senate, key governor’s races, and other contests that will shape the direction of the country for the next two years.

>>> WATCH: Tony Kinnett’s election night news coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on the Daily Signal’s YouTube channel

Among the scheduled guests are historian and Daily Signal senior contributor Victor Davis Hanson; Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action President Kevin Roberts, political commentator and pollster Steve Cortes, and Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter.

Our goal for election night goes beyond simply telling you who won and who lost.

We want to give you the facts and context you need to understand what happened, why it happened, and what comes next.

That mission is especially important at a time when too much political coverage tells Americans what to think instead of giving them the information they need to make up their own minds.

At the Daily Signal, our journalists approach the news from a perspective that’s missing from the legacy media. We ask the right questions. We investigate stories others overlook. And we bring readers, viewers, and listeners the facts without pretending that the media are somehow immune from bias.

Election night will put that approach on full display.

Kinnett and his guests will analyze results as they come in, separate the news from the political spin, and explain what the outcome means for Congress, the states, and the country.

And our work won’t stop when the polls close.

Whatever voters decide Tuesday, the battles over America’s future will continue in Washington, across the states, and throughout the media. The Daily Signal’s reporters will continue covering those fights long after election night is over.

That journalism is possible because of the readers and viewers who support our work. Your contributions allow us to keep reporters in the field, pursue investigations, and bring honest journalism to millions of Americans.

On Election Day, you have an opportunity to make your voice heard at the ballot box.

At the Daily Signal, our job is to make sure you have a news source you can trust.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
