The Los Angeles outfielder took to X to blast the racy commercials airing during the MLB postseason, asking the league to yank “soft porn ads” off playoff broadcasts.
“Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB?” Call fumed on Wednesday. “My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked women [sic] could come on screen anytime?? This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this.”

Call’s post was in response to a fed-up dad who laid out the lineup he and his kids sat through during a playoff game: “Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit,” a terrifying horror movie trailer, and “Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports.”
“Leagues can’t figure out why kids don’t watch,” the father declared. “You don’t need a Nickelodeon game. You’re not the Savannah Bananas. Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.”
MLB may have the power to do just that. The league’s own advertising rules let it reject or pull any ad that “could reflect negatively on MLB,” or that is “obscene, profane, in bad taste or offensive.”
Sweeney’s nude ad is for Novig, a sports prediction market that launched nationwide in August and bills itself as the only one in the game with a 21-and-over age limit.
In the first spot, which dropped September 9, Sweeney perches naked on a basketball hoop, strategically covering up with footballs, shoulder pads, hockey gear, and baseball mitts. Sweeney is an equity holder in the company, and Novig’s CEO said she was the de facto creative director of the commercial.
After the ad was first released, female athletes cried foul, accusing the actress of sexualizing women’s sports. Sweeney lost 136,848 Instagram followers in a single day, but her numbers quickly bounced back, and the ad racked up more than 40 million views. She’s not backing down after the backlash. On October 11, Sweeney posted a new spot that ends with her topless, covering her chest with two footballs.
Meanwhile, Fox was squeezed into a skintight red catsuit to play a pill.
The “Transformers” beauty stars in the spot as Ro Sparks, a telehealth company’s compounded erectile dysfunction tablet that blends the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis. The drug is not FDA-approved.
The spot debuted during NBC and Peacock’s coverage of the MLB Wild Card series, with Fox purring about the product’s ingredients in a sultry voice, complete with cheeky cracks about home delivery and “discreet” packaging.
