Lynda Mae Crouse, 32, is accused of using a similar scheme at least four other times in Miami-Dade County, allegedly drugging victims before making off with their valuables, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The Broward County case she is being charged for stems from an April 12 encounter at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach, where Crouse allegedly struck up a conversation with the man around midnight.

The two exchanged Instagram accounts and parted ways before the man later sent an Uber to Crouse's home around 1:20 a.m. to bring her to his residence, police said.

Crouse and the unidentified man had several alcoholic drinks in his living room before he went into his bedroom to change clothes. While there, he suddenly began feeling "funny" and "extremely tired," according to the affidavit.

While Crouse was alone in the living room, the man said he heard a distinctive "clapping sound." When he returned, Crouse was "acting different" and abruptly announced she was going home. Within minutes of her leaving, he fell asleep.

When the man awoke several hours later still feeling strange, he remembered the sound and rushed to check his Rolex box in the living room. His gold 40 mm diamond-bedazzled Rolex Presidential was gone.

The man later provided police with an appraisal valuing the watch at $98,400. He also identified Crouse in a photo lineup, according to the affidavit.

Months later, on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, Crouse was arrested by Seminole police and taken to Broward County Jail.

She was charged with second-degree grand theft, a felony, and released the following day after posting $2,500 bond.

In another case investigated by City of Miami police, Crouse was accused of drugging a victim with zolpidem, a prescription sleep aid used to treat insomnia.

Unlike the Broward County victim, that person underwent toxicology testing, which confirmed the presence of zolpidem.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
