‘I’m Not A Lesbian’: Lauren Boebert Denies Sleeping With Three Staffers

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) on Saturday denied a sworn ethics complaint accusing her of sexual relationships with three congressional aides, conduct that would breach House rules if substantiated.

“Well, I’m not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship, nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff,” Boebert told Sources Say News.

David Wheeler, head of American Muckrakers, a political action committee that has pursued Boebert for years, filed the complaint with the House Ethics Committee on Thursday. Its central claim involves Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, a former Colorado state lawmaker who ran Boebert’s district office from 2021 until January 2025, plus two further alleged relationships with a current and a former senior aide.

Boebert’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The filing describes encounters in a district office, a campaign-reimbursed vehicle, and campaign-billed hotel rooms. It also claims Boebert arranged a roughly $200,000 payment to Navarro Ratzlaff in March 2025, after she left the office and indicated she would file her own complaint. Wheeler says he does not know the money’s source, and the passage describing how he confirmed the payment is redacted in the public version.

Navarro Ratzlaff called the allegations “entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous,” according to the Colorado Times Recorder. Boebert’s ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, labelled them “propaganda” in a message Wheeler released. While the complaint cites House payroll and campaign finance records, its account of the relationships rests on unnamed sources whose underlying notes were not made public.

A House rule adopted in 2018, after a string of Capitol Hill harassment scandals, bars members from sexual relationships with employees under their supervision; the Ethics Committee cited it in a 2019 investigation of then-Rep. Katie Hill.

The complaint lands months after Boebert told reporters in April that Congress should “go to church, find Jesus,” asking why colleagues were “so horny” following to misconduct-related resignations — remarks that drew renewed scrutiny given her own history: Boebert was ejected from a September 2023 Beetlejuice performance at Denver’s Buell Theatre after security footage showed her and then-boyfriend Quinn Gallagher groping each other, vaping, and taking flash photos.
