Great Britain’s hard-Left Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood was caught flat-footed in Parliament on Monday, delivering an evasive, stuttering non-answer when confronted by Reform UK MP Lee Anderson over a terrifying hit list containing his name and 100 other politicians and VIPs.

Anderson, the straight-talking former coal miner who represents Ashfield, dropped a bombshell on the floor of the House of Commons, revealing Nottinghamshire Police had phoned him to report he was targeted on a terror suspect’s execution list. The chilling dossier was uncovered by counter-terrorism cops raiding the South Yorkshire home of Joshua Kerry, the suspect charged with murdering former MP Ann Widdecombe.

“Last week I got a telephone call from Nottingham police to tell me that I was on a kill list of 100 MPs and former MPs and VIPs. Now I strongly believe that it took a leak to the press before the police actually contacted me and my colleagues sat here. Can the Home secretary tell me when she first became aware of this list?” Anderson demanded.

Instead of offering clarity or reassurance to targeted public servants, Mahmood delivered a bumbling performance, stammering and dodging accountability.

“Well, let me say, uh, to the honorable gentleman, uh, I don’t believe, uh, as I said in answer to previous questions, that anything inappropriate has happened in relation to the list,” Mahmood said. “I’m not going to give him, uh, or the allegations of, uh, the list, I’m not gonna give a running commentary on intelligence discussions, but nothing has happened that is inappropriate in my view. I will make sure that I am able to share more information to the house, uh, uh, as I referenced in my answer to Mr. Speaker earlier and the concerns that have been raised, about who has knowledge of who those names are.”

“But this is an investigation that is led by the police. I don’t get a running commentary or update myself. It would be inappropriate for that to happen; they’re operationally independent; they must go where the evidence takes them, and no politician should ever have a directive hand in those proceedings,” she added.

The evasive response from the top official overseeing MI5 and national security has outraged conservative lawmakers who argue that ministers are routinely briefed on major terror threats under long-standing Parliamentary security protocols.

Mahmood’s refusal to answer comes as no surprise given her long track record as an ideological activist on Labour’s radical wing.

Before stepping into the Home Office, Mahmood boasted a history of hard-Left agitation. In 2014, she participated in a radical pro-Palestinian demonstration in Birmingham, uploading a video online bragging about forcing a local store to shut down for selling products from Israeli territories.

Her ideological bias has consistently sparked outrage across Britain. Following a horrific terror attack at a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur by a Syrian immigrant with a history of death threats against conservative politicians, Mahmood drew intense backlash for issuing a statement brushing off systemic radicalization, claiming “the only person responsible for this devastating attack is the attacker himself.”

Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, ripped Mahmood over her response.

“In response to this, the Home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, says she’s disappointed. Disappointed. That’s the most the Home secretary can say. Well, I hope all of you watching this video are outraged, outraged, and frankly frightened. This is broken Britain. This is evidence of societal breakdown. It is deeply worrying and very frightening.”

Critics have repeatedly slammed Mahmood for employing double standards when enforcing law and order. While weaponizing terms like “Paki-bashers” to attack working-class Right-wing protesters, her government faced intense scrutiny for hushing up reports on migrant grooming gangs preying on British girls.

More recently, Mahmood deployed government censors to ban prominent European conservatives from entering the country to speak at a patriotic London rally, declaring their presence “not conducive to the public good.” High-profile Muslim activist outlets openly celebrated the ban, boasting that “Muslims got this done.” That fueled accusations that the Home Office is bowing to Muslim pressure while censoring political opponents.

While Anderson faces death threats for standing up for his constituents, the Labour Home Secretary appears more interested in dodging questions in Parliament than protecting those under fire.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
