MAGA Inc.’s $400 Million War Chest Is Finally Hitting The Campaign Trail

President Donald Trump’s allied super PAC is taking its $400 million war chest into the midterms, beginning with a Michigan rally headlined by Vice President JD Vance and featuring several of the state’s top Republican candidates.

MAGA Inc. announced Thursday that Vance will appear Monday in Sterling Heights alongside Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers, gubernatorial nominee Rep. John James, and 10th Congressional District nominee Mike Bouchard Jr.

“MAGA Inc. will be hosting events throughout the nation to ensure that Republicans retain control of Congress in order to finish cleaning up the mess the Biden-Harris-Pelosi-Schumer Democrats left,” MAGA Inc. spokesman Alex Pfeiffer told Politico. “We’re not going back to their record inflation, open borders, and surging crime.”

The event marks one of MAGA Inc.’s first major public moves of the general election after sitting on a massive cash reserve during the 2026 cycle so far.

MAGA Inc. reported more than $400 million in cash on hand heading into the general election, giving Trump’s political operation enormous financial resources to deploy during the campaign’s final months.  Republican candidates and party officials have spent months pressing Trump and his political operation to begin putting that money to work in competitive races.

Until recently, however, MAGA Inc. had spent only a small fraction of its available funds. The group’s most significant recent expenditure came Monday, when it spent $827,711 on phone calls and text messages supporting Sen. Darline Graham in the South Carolina Republican runoff. 

The Michigan rally represents a different kind of move: a public event designed to put the Trump administration’s most prominent surrogate alongside multiple candidates in a key battleground state.

Rogers, a former congressman and Army veteran, is running to claim Michigan’s open Senate seat for Republicans after winning the GOP nomination. He will face Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed, the left-wing former Detroit health official who emerged from a bruising Democratic primary earlier this month.

Republicans have identified Michigan as one of their most promising Senate pickup opportunities as they attempt to defend their majority in the upper chamber.

James, who currently serves in Congress, is running for governor after two unsuccessful campaigns for the Senate. Bouchard is seeking the open House seat in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District.

MAGA Inc.’s reserve adds to a significant Republican financial advantage. GOP committees and allied congressional super PACs reported roughly $657 million in cash on hand at the end of June, compared with approximately $334 million for their Democratic counterparts. MAGA Inc.’s more than $400 million reserve sits outside those figures.

Democrats are also confronting financial difficulties at the national party level. The Democratic National Committee reported only $16.3 million in cash on hand and $18.5 million in debt at the end of June. By comparison, the Republican National Committee reported $128.5 million in cash and no debt.

Despite that financial advantage, Republicans still face the historical challenge confronting the party that controls the White House during a midterm election.

Trump has promised to spend heavily on Republican candidates as Election Day approaches.

“I’ll be spending a lot of that money, and my own money, for candidates that I think are good — Republican candidates that I think are good,” Trump said earlier this month.
