Cage, 62, was taking questions from the audience at Los Angeles Comic Con on Saturday when someone asked whether his Halloween plans included decorating his hourse or watching a scary movie, Page Six reported.
“Absolutely. I’m currently a little bit homeless. Something happened to my house in Malibu, so I’m just sort of living in hotels, so I don’t have normal trick-or-treaters I would like to enjoy tonight,” he said.
The “National Treasure” star said he planned to take his four-year-old daughter, August, trick-or-treating and watch “The Shining” after putting her to bed.
“I am going to watch a movie,” he said. “I’m going to watch a movie where the director was actually nominated for the worst director at the Razzies, called ‘The Shining,’ Stanley Kubrick — can you believe that? That is one of my favorite movies ever made, he directed the hell out of that movie.”

As The Daily Wire previously reported, a large sinkhole opened up at Cage’s property in September — the apparent result of coastal erosion and heavy rains. A large portion of his driveway was swallowed up when the sinkhole first formed, but no one appeared to be at home at the time.
The Academy Award winner has not been able to live there since, and some neighbors had to evacuate in the immediate aftermath as local authorities assessed the scope of the damage. In total, all 31 homes on the beachfront drive were marked as unsafe either due to their proximity to the hole or because the damage made access impossible for residents and emergency services.
Blaming “the loss of access for Fire and Sheriff’s personnel to respond to medical, fire or law enforcement emergencies,” the city deemed the house on that stretch of road to be unlivable: “The collapse of a beachfront driveway extended into the roadway, blocking resident and emergency access.”
