President Trump To Attend Dignified Transfer Of ‘Our Fallen Heroes’

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump will attend the dignified transfer of the remains of United States service members on Tuesday evening, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared Monday.

“President Trump will attend the dignified transfer of our fallen heroes tomorrow evening at Dover Air Force Base,” Leavitt shared. “The President and the entire White House are praying for their families.”

Her announcement comes after the Department of War announced that two active-duty soldiers had been killed while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve in the Middle East.

Twenty-five-year-old 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, was killed in action on July 18, 2026, after Iran attacked Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 32nd Army Air Missile Defense Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Nineteen-year-old Private Isabella Gonzales of Carrollton, Texas, was also killed in the attack. She was assigned to 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52nd Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 10th Army Air Missile Defense Command, Ansbach, Germany, according to the War Department.

“Every time Iran kills an American Soldier they will pay for that killing many times over!” the president vowed on Monday. “This directive has been passed on to Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Daniel Caine, and every Leader in the Military.”

As of Monday, the United States has carried out nine days of consecutive strikes against Iran. U.S. Central Command announced the successful completion of the ninth consecutive evening of strikes on Sunday evening, sharing that the strikes targeted “Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance sites, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks to further diminish Iran’s ability to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz.”

“The U.S. military is holding Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief’s direction,” CENTCOM added, noting: “CENTCOM forces remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready.” 

This is the fourth dignified transfer that the president has attended during his second term. In December 2025, he attended the dignified transfer of two Iowa National Guard soldiers and a civilian interpreter who was killed in Syria. On March 7, he attended the dignified transfer of six service members killed in Kuwait in an Iranian drone strike, and on March 18, he attended the dignified transfer of six Air Force crew members who were killed in a KC-135 crash during Operation Inherent Resolve.
