The rout Republicans suffered last night was, in large part, a referendum on the president. Republicans turned up their noses at the politicians and at the Commander in Chief. Democrats sprinted to their ballots to oppose whatever Trump wished. Independents either stayed home or punished the party in power for breaking its promise to lower prices. But while everyone was busy sending a message, something sinister snuck in through the side door.

The anti-American American socialists of 2026 sat on the opposite side of the ballot from Republicans, and in voters’ blinding hatred of incumbency, they overlooked the agenda of the collectivists.

So let’s meet the socialists who slipped into our withering free-market republic on the coattails of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Darializa Avila Chevalier won her congressional district in NY-13. She’s a DSA-backed democratic socialist who defeated the longtime democratic incumbent Adriano Espaillat in the primary. She boasts extraordinary anti-American sentiments, is best known for her “wipe with the American flag” comment, and co-founded an “Apartheid Divest” group at Columbia University (whose stated mission was the total eradication of Western civilization). She campaigned on healthcare as a human right (breaking news: it isn’t), universal basic income (socialists do love money they didn’t earn), a four-day workweek (my point stands), housing for all, Medicare for all, free college, unions galore, and abolishing police, prisons, and borders. She also ran against deporting violent criminals here illegally. Presumably she picked up all this infinite wisdom and political prudence while studying the Middle East. On election night, she draped herself in a keffiyeh.

Melat Kiros took CO-1, defeating 15-term Democratic incumbent Diana DeGette in the primary. This DSA-backed, Ethiopian-born socialist is best known for justifying 9/11 during a televised interview. She was fired from a law firm after protesting against Israel, then pivoted to a PhD program studying how wealth inequality hinders the working class. (What hindered her wealth was torching her own employer relationship and taking on loans for a second act in academia, but I digress.) Her platform: Medicare for all, universal housing and childcare, national rent control, a trans bill of rights, and abolishing ICE. Obviously.

Claire Valdez is our next misfit Marxist: longtime NYC-DSA member, UAW organizer, and now the winner in NY-7. She ran on…you guessed it! Medicare for all, housing for all, rent control, stronger unions, ending US military aid to Israel (Trump beat her to that), granting citizenship and voting rights to illegals, using your tax dollars for trans treatments, and eliminating private health insurance. All four-feet-11-inches of this little Lenin bleeds socialism and dreams of communism.

Over to Pennsylvania, where Chris Rabb, the DSA-backed state representative, took the open seat in PA-3 near Philadelphia. He promised the same sweet-smelling poisons as above, plus a federal jobs guarantee (because socialists never met a bloated bureaucracy they didn’t want to feed) and criminal justice reform. His son just converted to Islam. Isn’t that sweet like watermelon?

In Michigan’s 13th, Donavan McKinney, with the DSA behind him, beat Shri Thanedar, the internet’s favorite head of hair, in the primary. Same platform, plus a call for a Palestinian state “from the river to the sea” (goodbye, Israel!) and getting corporate money out of politics. Of course, they never mean all money. They mean conservative money. He’s perfectly happy to take checks from Emgage, Muslims United PAC, and the Arab American Political Action Committee. Not to be confused with AIPAC. One is halal, you see; the other is haram.

These five freedom fighters will join the other two democratic socialists already in Congress, Ilhan Omar (who probably shouldn’t even be in America) and Rashida Tlaib. The broader coven includes commie-cozying counterparts AOC, Bernie Sanders, Summer Lee, Greg Casar, and the rest of the Squad.

Then there is Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed, who won Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat. He taqiyya-lies about his stances on socialism, insisting he isn’t one of them. But his policies match their platforms: Medicare for all, abolishing ICE, higher taxes on the wealthy, and redistributing their money. If it quacks like a comrade…

They’re all snakes of the same red-green stripe.

They’ll tell you socialism is about libraries, fire trucks, and rainbows, when really it’s the forced seizure of the means of production from successful people and distributed to those who are less so. It’s a collectivist mindset that withers individual incentive, crushes capital formation and innovation, and subordinates the rights of the productive to the demands of the unproductive. We know this because their style of socialism was enacted in the Soviet Union and Venezuela, and it produced bread lines, empty shelves, hyperinflation measured in the thousands of percent, gulags, mass emigration, and body counts in the tens of millions. The destination of their dreamy socialism is a classless, moneyless, stateless society, which is just communism. No one has fully reached it, but the Marxists have gotten close. And every time it’s uglier than Mamdani in a mustache.

These socialists can also win these races by leaps and bounds because they’re specifically planted to run in safe, blue seats, where they campaign as a democrat, unseat the moderate, and rule as a radical. Lenin did the same thing; he usurped the Mensheviks with his Bolshevik bats. It’s a gradual takeover, but highly effective.

And this utopian Leninism pairs neatly with political Islam’s long practice of temporary alliances. Chevalier converted. Abdul El-Sayed’s victory speech was delivered largely in Arabic, complete with the ritual “Inshallah” to “Alhamdulillah” transition and a promise that American tax dollars would no longer fund “apartheid or genocide.” André Carson, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Aisha Hamawy, Darializa Avila Chevalier, and now Senator Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed. Roughly eight Muslims at the federal level, several of them openly DSA-aligned or DSA-adjacent. Pattern recognition. It’s a terrifying thing.

Because Islam has never been fond of socialism’s atheism or sexual libertinism or the elevation of the state over the ummah. But it is remarkably flexible about the parts that weaken the host society first: open borders, the abolition of immigration enforcement, the subordination of national interest, the delegitimization of Western institutions, and the redistribution of resources away from the historic population.

And they’ll sell you this national suicide in a cheeky Instagram ad.

Then once we are immunocompromised, once our federalist frameworks have been softened like halal bread, that lovely little alliance of convenience that El-Sayed & co. pretend to smile at, will be discarded. These socialists very easily got the early votes by taqiyya-promising free healthcare. The Islamists get to keep the long-term demographic and cultural control.

Watermelon sweet.

At the end of the day, voters showed up determined to punish Trump. And they did. But in the process, they may have started the beginning of a much larger end.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
