Ryan Hanafin was the subject of a manhunt after Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said Reading police received the call around 12:38 a.m. Thursday, from his father, 48-year-old Matthew Hanafin, who told police he returned to his home on Center Avenue and found his 49-year-old wife Andria dead in their kitchen.
Additional details about the arrest, including where in Vermont it took place, were not immediately available. Reading police said they expected to share more as it came in.
The district attorney said the couple's 13-year-old child was present in the home during his mother's shooting death.

Ryan Hanafin was believed to be driving a black 2010 Dodge Charger with the Massachusetts license plate 2PSY15. He had been described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall. The only photo of him released by police shows him with shoulder-length, straight blonde hair, a mustache and glasses.
Reading Police Chief David J. Clark said that while Ryan Hanafin is a person of interest, he should still be considered "potentially armed and dangerous." Anyone who saw him or his vehicle was asked to call 911.
"By all means, please do not approach him," he said. "Please contact 911, the local police department, whatever, if you see the vehicle or come across him. We are urging people to stay safe and not put themselves in danger."
This is a developing story.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
