- Reluctant patriotic voters need to get to the polls.
- Democratic candidates’ own words expose their positions.
- Biden-era failures provide a vivid reminder of what could happen in the next Congress.
Republicans and MAGA supporters who hope to avoid voting today should overcome their qualms with high gas prices and President Donald J. Trump’s quirks. If balloting continues in your area, flood the polls. America needs you.
For a quick reminder of what’s at stake, watch a political ad called “Stand Up for America.” I co-created this 30-second spot with my friend Owen William Brennan, founder of Madison McQueen and a member of U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton’s ad team.
Watch the reaction when Trump said at the State of the Union on Feb. 24: “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: ‘The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.’”
Republicans rose as one. They jumped to their feet and loudly applauded and cheered a proposition that should enjoy unanimous, bipartisan backing.
No such luck.
Democrats, in contrast, frowned, pouted, and sat on their rumps. Choosing American citizens over illegal aliens just isn’t their thing.
In Michigan, far-left Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has scored brickbats for being soft on Hamas. But he is even softer than cotton candy on crime.
“Any and all efforts to get people out of jails and prisons and to keep people out of jails and prisons is policy that we need to be investing in,” El-Sayed said at an August 2020 conference on decarceration.
As Chuck Ross of The Washington Free Beacon reported, El-Sayed looks at a penitentiary and sees a facility in which society warehouses its true victims.
“Not only are we taking people’s rights from them, but also we have failed to provide them the basic means of a dignified life,” El-Sayed declared.
That’s right. Criminals are just people whom civilization let down.
“Every choice we make about incarcerating somebody is about robbing that somebody from the people who love them and the people who need them.”
Precisely!
So, when AmeriKKKa put Charles Manson; John Lennon’s assassin, Mark David Chapman; serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer; and Jeffrey Epstein behind bars, society robbed those poor gentlemen from the people who loved them and needed them.
The horror. The horror.
El-Sayed’s vision of justice would lack prisons. So, these fine men could go back to their loved ones and get on with their lives.
It’s all so touching. I think I’m going to cry.
Democrats should be banned from using the words “Democracy,” “Misinformation,” “Conspiracy theories,” and “Election interference.” Democrats constantly claim that they defend democracy against the tyrannical Trump, who uses misinformation and conspiracy theories to commit election interference.
Well, look what we have here!
In a bid to defeat Sen. Daniel S. Sullivan, R-Alaska, local and national Democrats allegedly perpetrated a conspiracy to recruit an unknown man named Daniel J. Sullivan to challenge his namesake, confuse voters, and potentially deprive the incumbent lawmaker of ballots that he would score otherwise.
This alleged election interference aimed to bamboozle voters, rather than inspire them. This disgusting affair has been dubbed the “Decoy Dan” scandal. The US Department of Justice is on the case.
In California, former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra is far ahead in the polls, even though he was in charge when the Biden administration lost track of more than 100,000 unaccompanied minors, many of whom are feared to have wound up as sweatshop or sex slaves.
While the media have focused on the crazy comments from Texas Democratic Senate candidate James “Six Sexes” Talarico and the aforementioned El-Sayed, others on the campaign trail have made some incredibly eye-popping remarks:
President Trump played a video at a rally in Daytona, Florida, that showcased the words of some of these “deranged lunatics and extremists” as he called them:
William Lawrence, Democratic nominee for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, said in 2012: “We should be abolishing the institution of marriage altogether.”
“You would have to prove you’re a citizen before you can register to vote, which is absurd,” said Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Ohio.
“The idea that we should deport anybody is just inherently cruel,” according to House candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier of New York.
Rep. Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y.: “I want to legalize seven or eight or nine or 10 million people in our country.”
Troy Jackson, Maine’s Democratic Senate candidate, said: “I would’ve ran as a Communist.”
Finally, if any reluctant Republican or MAGA voter is reading this op-ed and not running to the polls already, consider this Substack post. It offers a vivid reminder of when things were rotten, namely the last time the Left controlled Washington.
Democrats seized power in 2021.
Within three years, millions crossed our border. Overdoses hit records and killed over 100,000 Americans yearly.
The Taliban retook Afghanistan. Russia invaded Ukraine. Hamas slaughtered more than a thousand Israelis. Gaza was rightfully reduced to rubble.
Inflation hit 21.5%, leaving families paying $14,300 more a year to live.
Men entered our daughters bathrooms and competed in their sports.
Political opponents faced relentless lawfare.
The list of failures is endless.
Now go vote.
