Things Just Got Harder For Abdul El-Sayed
Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer endorsed Democratic Senate candidate Haley Stevens on Friday, backing her over far-Left rival Abdul El-Sayed in the state’s closely watched primary.

“Just like me, Haley will do whatever it takes to get things done for the people of Michigan, and we need her now more than ever,” Whitmer said in a video Stevens posted on X.
Whitmer accused Republicans of raising the cost of living through the tariffs, cuts to Medicaid, and “soaring gas prices” while praising Stevens’ record on manufacturing, prescription drug costs, and economic issues, arguing she would put “Michigan first.”
Stevens celebrated the endorsement on X, calling Whitmer “a champion for our state” who understands “the stakes of this race.”
Following Whitmer’s nomination, Stevens’ odds of winning the Democratic primary on prediction market Polymarket rose from 21% to 36%.
Stevens has also drawn attention in recent weeks after videos resurfaced showing her speaking with an exaggerated accent, including a campaign speech in which she urged supporters to “Stick it to ‘em.”
The endorsement gives Stevens a boost in one of the nation’s most competitive Democratic Senate primaries.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
