In exclusive statements obtained by the Daily Signal during an anniversary gala on Tuesday, The LIBRE Initiative and its top supporters reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to the Republican Party, limited government, the eradication of socialism, and the reinvigoration of the American dream.

Among the supporters in attendance were Fox News anchor and LIBRE spokeswoman Rachel Campos-Duffy, Charles Koch, former Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, and several Capitol Hill lawmakers.

“LIBRE is the canary against socialism,” Campos-Duffy said. “We started 15 years ago, warning America about the dangers of the socialist uprising. Today, we’re seeing that more than ever before.”

The LIBRE Initiative was founded at a time when the Hispanic electorate was becoming increasingly important in American politics. Now, left-wing groups like the Democratic Socialists of America are fighting to swing the Hispanic electorate toward them, making it more important than ever for LIBRE to double down on its efforts and alliances, Campos-Duffy said.

“The commies are coming. We’re going to be at the front lines of this battle that’s ongoing, and [we’re] fighting for freedom until LIBRE wins,” Campos-Duffy added.

Daniel Garza, the organization’s founder and a former adviser to President George W. Bush, said that the Hispanic vote has flipped over the past 10 years due to the organization’s efforts.

“LIBRE began in a district [President Barack] Obama won by 75%. Today, that district now belongs to Rep. Monica De La Cruz, R-Texas, and President Donald Trump,” he said. “LIBRE is here so that we can make sure the American dream is available to the next generation.”

Part of the organization’s mission is to inform Hispanic American voters who make up a majority of the electorate in states like Texas and Georgia. The group is warning against socialist, big-government policies that far-left politicians could enact.

“Nobody knows better the misery and poverty socialism leaves in its wake than those who lived it,” Garza added.

Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, personally thanked LIBRE during the event for helping Hispanic American families in his state realize that the Democratic Party continues to deliver empty promises to them.

“I would not have won my election if it weren’t for LIBRE,” Moreno said.

Youngkin also spoke at the gala, saying, “The work the LIBRE Initiative does is so critical because keeping the Hispanic community engaged, showing them how our elected officials are working for them, and highlighting the results that matter are how we win at the ballot box and beyond.”

As recently reported by the Daily Signal, LIBRE directed massive amounts of resources behind Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson in Georgia.

Those efforts, which include mailers, advertisements, and person-to-person conversations with voters, are also being replicated nationwide, the organization touted during its celebratory gala this week.

Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., who also attended the gala, told the Daily Signal that the mission of The LIBRE Initiative is crucial because getting the word out to the Hispanic community has a much-needed positive impact on the American people while debunking misinformation spread by the Left.

“It’s one of the fastest growing demographics in the United States,” McCormick said. “The Republican Party was founded on representing minorities who want to be successful and self-determined, to enjoy the freedoms of the Constitution.”

“All people are designed by God … to feel good about what they earn, not what they’re given,” the congressman continued. “This is a community that understands hard work, conservative values, and the value of life.”

His colleague in the U.S. House, Rep. Juan Ciscomani, R-Ariz., echoed his remarks and told the Daily Signal that Hispanics “care about the same things that the rest of the country cares about,” which are “safe streets, safe communities, and a healthy economy.” They also care about the “power of the American dream, which is centered at home,” he said.

Ciscomani continued, adding that the organization’s efforts have helped ensure that the “American dream is alive.”

Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif., who was also in attendance, added that The LIBRE Initiative has “many influential Hispanic voices, and we should listen to them.”

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
