Trump Posts Video Of Ben Shapiro Laying Out Why Daily Wire Made ‘Run Hide Fight: Infidels’

President Donald Trump shared a video of Ben Shapiro’s weekend interview with Mark Levin that begins with a full-throated endorsement of Run Hide Fight: Infidels, the Daily Wire’s latest action film that was produced by Shapiro.

At the top of the interview, Levin calls the film “fantastic” and praises it for avoiding the sort of political correctness that plagues almost everything coming out of Hollywood today. Levin also says in the clip that he “cannot recommend it enough” and calls it a “tour de force,” before asking Shapiro to lay out why the Daily Wire made it.

“It’s a lot of fun, and it also makes a really important point,” Shapiro said. “It is the only movie that I think that’s been made in the last twenty years, essentially, that tells the truth about what radical Islam actually does, but does it in a fun and entertaining way.”

Trump posted the full clip on Sunday morning to his 13 million followers on Truth Social, which also includes discussion of the Republican midterm strategy and the Iran war. The president, a frequent cable news viewer, has been known to post clips from news coverage that he endorses, often after watching it air.

Shapiro said a friend had likened the film to a cross between Red Dawn and Blazing Saddles. In the story, terrorists commandeer a pro-Hamas student protest, seize an American university, and set up a “mini caliphate” on campus. Jonathan Majors stars as Clay Saunders, a retired Delta Force operator who teams up with a band of students to fight back.

“The point of view of the movie is that radical Islam is indeed a real threat, and the radical Muslims in the film act like actual radical Muslims,” Shapiro said, citing a widely shared clip in which the terrorists throw a gay student from a rooftop. “That’s what would happen if ISIS were to take over an American campus. ‘Queers for Palestine’ would end up at the bottom of the building, in reality.”

Levin ends the interview praising The Daily Wire for using entertainment to get a message out there to new audiences. Shapiro told viewers that it is the first entry in the company’s new entertainment strategy. “We’ve got much more coming,” he said.

Trump has since his first run for president consistently railed against “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Infidels premiered on September 16. It is written and directed by Kyle Rankin, and produced by Shapiro and Dallas Sonnier. It is a standalone follow-up to 2020’s Run Hide Fight, which was the Daily Wire’s first feature film.

Majors, who played a starring role in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” told the New York Post last week that he saw the role as a chance to grow as an artist. Majors said his character has big responsibilities in the film, and that he thought, “I’d love to play that.”

“Run Hide Fight: Infidels” is currently streaming on The Daily Wire.
