Trump made the comments during an appearance on the Wednesday episode of Miranda Devine’s podcast, “Pod Force One,” where he argued that Pelley was one of a number of legacy media personalities who truly didn’t care about the United States. It’s unclear whether the podcast was recorded prior to Pelley getting the boot from “60 Minutes” executive producer Nick Bilton.

Trump explained his most recent battery of tests to Devine — a physical and a cognitive test — which he said he took out of an “obligation” to show the American people that he was more than fit for the job he was doing, and Devine asked whether the memory portions of the cognitive test were difficult.

“I have a great memory, I have a good — look, so far so good,” Trump chuckled, adding, “I hope I’m going to keep it that way. If I don’t, you’ll be the first to know, you’ll say, this interview, this isn’t the same Trump! I think he’s lost it!”

Devine pivoted to Pelley then, noting that he’d interviewed former President Joe Biden just after special counsel Robert Hur had done so. And despite Hur’s assertion that Biden shouldn’t be charged in the classified documents case because he was an aging man with poor memory, Pelley’s interview — through a combination of softball questions and edits — obscured that from the public’s view.

“I think Scott Pelley’s got his own problems. He’s terrible,” Trump told Devine. “Look, Scott Pelley’s a stiff — and he’s afraid. And he’s part of this gang of crooked, stupid people that don’t care about our country. I watched that interview, that interview was a joke.”

Trump also criticized CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos — the latter of whom he referred to as “a tough little cookie” who’d been forced to pay him $16 million — and said that they’d been equally guilty in helping to cover up Biden’s cognitive decline.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
