White House Releases Trump’s ‘Excellent’ Health Exam Summary

After a scheduled follow-up evaluation on Friday, President Donald Trump’s physician said Trump “remains in exceptional health” and is showing “strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance.”
Trump, 79, was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for about three hours and underwent lab tests and preventive health assessments. Trump’s doctor, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, said in a one-page memo that the president received a yearly flu shot and a COVID booster vaccine.
Barbabella noted that Trump’s cardiac age is 14 years younger than his actual age, adding that the president “continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.”
“His cardiac age — a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG — was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age,” the memo said. “He continues to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restriction.”
“President Donald J. Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.”

Back in July, Trump underwent medical testing and received a diagnosis of “chronic venous insufficiency” in his legs, The Daily Wire reported.
“I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president’s hand and also swelling in the president’s legs,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at the time. “So in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today.”

A memo from Barbabella said there was “mild swelling” in Trump’s lower legs and that the president’s concern was “thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit,” out of an “abundance of caution.”
Ultrasounds to assess blood flow in both of his legs found “chronic venous insufficiency,” Leavitt relayed. Barbabella called this a “benign, common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.”
Trump’s health update comes as his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, released an update on his cancer battle. Biden is receiving radiation treatment for about five weeks for his advanced prostate cancer, according to a spokesperson.
“As part of a treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment,” the spokesperson said.
Biden has been taking the pill form of a hormone medication, according to NBC News, and the former president’s team says Biden is “doing well.”
The 82-year-old first disclosed his aggressive cancer diagnosis back in May, mere months after he left office. At the time, it was reported that Biden had metastatic prostate cancer that had moved from the prostate all the way to his bones.
