“The kids in New York are mean, nasty as f**k,” she said during a livestream, as reported by Hollywood Unlocked, saying those kids have “the devil” in them. Cardi B also said she would “never, never, never” put her kids in NYC public schools.
“That makes you want to join a gang… So people can stop f***ing with you, ’cause that’s practically what happened to me… Teach your kids to be f***ing kind, because it starts with you… [They] are extremely xenophobic. She told followers to get their “quality of life up and move to Pennsylvania,” saying anyone planning to have a baby should consider relocating.
“It’s not a specific race or nationality that’s making fun of the other people. No. It’s everybody,” she said, after accusing students in New York City of being especially nasty. “It’s a melting pot of everybody just being mean,” the rapper added.
Javits Frimpong, a Ghanaian immigrant, was shot and killed on his way to school in the Bronx on Thursday morning. Frimpong’s father said the teen had been bullied and believes the shooting was connected. Police were searching for three teenage boys in connection with the killing, ABC7 New York reported.
Cardi B is in a longstanding feud with Nicki Minaj, who has emerged as a prominent celebrity supporter of President Donald Trump. The White House communications director even joked about hiring Minaj as White House press secretary.
Minaj appeared alongside Trump in January at the Trump Accounts Summit at the Treasury Department, praising the initiative as a way to give children without wealthy families a financial start.
Cardi B, meanwhile, endorsed Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) in the Texas Democratic Senate primary earlier this year after backing Kamala Harris for president in 2024.
