WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump urged Americans on Monday to vote Republican in the midterm elections, warning that Democrats had nominated “extremists” who should not be given power.

The president spoke in front of the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall, where he discussed his efforts to clean up and beautify Washington, D.C., specifically the Reflecting Pool. He showed before-and-after photographs before turning to what he called “the most important” midterm elections of his lifetime.
“The Democrat party has nominated the most extreme and dangerous slate of candidates in American history,” he warned. “These are the most dangerous candidates ever put up, there has never been anything like what we are seeing…jihadists, Muslim Brotherhood members…all committed to the same radical agenda.”
That agenda, the president said, includes open borders, raising taxes, taking away Americans’ guns, “transgender mutilization of your children,” abolishing oil and natural gas, raising energy costs, and “opening the flood gates to millions of migrants from all over the world, hoping to get them to be able to vote.”

“With your vote, we will decide: these extremists will be given power or not power,” he said.

Trump touted the accomplishments of his second term, arguing that the United States has “fought for 250 years to make” America great and that Americans cannot let their country be “torn down by a bunch of people that failed everywhere they have been.”
The president referenced a report from the New York Post that Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed wooed voters in at least five mosques with histories of violent rhetoric, including statements describing the United States as the “House of Satan.”
“We changed that,” the president said. “We call the United States the House of God, they call it the House of Satan. We don’t want people that call the United States the House of Satan. When you vote, remember a party that hates America cannot be allowed to rule over the people who built our country.”
The president, who has made 29 midterm stops around the country over the past few weeks, also accused Democrats of fraud over their efforts to put “Decoy Dan” on the ballot in Alaska to “confuse voters running against the real Dan Sullivan.”
His accusations followed New York Times reporting that Democratic operatives worked with aides to Sullivan’s Democratic opponent, Mary Peltola, to recruit a second Dan Sullivan. Peltola’s campaign denied involvement in a statement to The Daily Wire last week. The Justice Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the “fake” Dan Sullivan’s candidacy.
“The reason nobody can find the FAKE Dan Sullivan is that the Lawyers have ‘scooped’ him up, and are hiding him as they teach him, step by step, what to say in order to avoid one of the Greatest Fraud Prosecutions in American History!” Trump posted on Truth Social shortly after his remarks.
“The lawyers involved in this case are Criminals, and should be treated as such,” he added. “The Highest Levels of the Dumocrat Party are involved in this Criminal Endeavor. Peltola should be forced to resign, and charged, along with FAKE Candidate Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr., who is now, MISSING IN ACTION!”
