The organization’s LIBRE State PAC will carry out “robust voter engagement efforts throughout the state, including events, grassroots GOTV, and voter education, to ensure Hispanic voters understand why Rick Jackson is the best choice this November,” a press release exclusively obtained by the Daily Signal confirmed.

The organization’s decision to throw its support behind Jackson, the Republican candidate for governor, comes after the organization acknowledged that entrepreneurial Latino American communities in Georgia will have a tough time getting ahead under radical Democrat leadership, LIBRE’s President, Daniel Garza, told the Daily Signal.

Garza, who served as a senior White House official for former President George W. Bush, added that his organization will impact the race by informing Latino voters on Jackson’s plan to “freeze property taxes and eliminate the state income taxes” while exposing his opponent’s far-left agenda.

As stated by Garza, the Democrat nominee for governor, former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who landed the endorsement of former President Joe Biden earlier this year, purposely avoids discussing her far-left stance when campaigning in the Latino community.

Some of the things she avoids mentioning when campaigning in such communities are ideas embraced by the Democratic Socialists of America, including her plan to increase government spending, which could lead to tax increases, and her previous characterization of Republicans’ plans to eliminate property taxes as “irresponsible.”

Bottoms has also not addressed plans to eliminate or reduce the state income tax.

She is currently seen leading Jackson by roughly 5% in a state where Hispanic American voters make up nearly 30% of the electorate.

“She doesn’t campaign on that platform in front of Hispanic communities because Latinos know of the oppression and poverty socialism has left in its wake in its countries of origin,” Garza continued. “We intend to drive those conversations with them and start a persuasion campaign that, in a race like this, is absolutely necessary.”

Garza is optimistic that his efforts courting the Hispanic community could “make a difference in a 50/50 state.”

The organization’s efforts include the targeted distribution of mailers, door-knocking, and public debates in Hispanic American-majority communities throughout the Peach State.

Garza continued, adding that the point he wants to raise through his organization’s efforts is, “Are we going to empower the government or unleash the private sector?”

“There isn’t a rule or a mandate they [far-left Democrats] wouldn’t impose on entrepreneurs,” he continued.

The election between Jackson and Bottoms is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov 3.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
