Hasan Piker Brags El-Sayed Is Faking Moderation To Scam Voters

Leftist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker claimed that Democratic Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed is practicing deception by pretending to create distance between himself and Piker, insisting the candidate’s core positions haven’t shifted an inch.

Piker, who previously claimed “America deserved 9/11” and praised Hamas, pulled back the curtain on El-Sayed’s damage-control act following nationwide outrage over Piker’s latest toxic rant against Jewish Americans. Piker reassured his audience that El-Sayed’s public statements are merely a calculated political play and that El-Sayed remains fully in his camp.

“There are going to be a lot of people who are already questioning Abdul El-Sayed’s sincerity on these issues that will then turn around and say, ‘Oh, he’s, you know, he’s moderating his position on Israel,’ all this stuff. I don’t think he is,” Piker said. “Okay, I will say this. I am literally the person that is being dangled. And I’m going to tell you once again, he’s not moderating on his perspective on Israel or anything like that. His reaction to this has always been very good, which is, ‘Look, I deal with people that I don’t fully agree with and don’t fully subscribe to on a daily basis. This is politics. Politics is about addition, not subtraction, right?'”

“It’s smart,” he continued. “It’s the right way to deal with it and then deflect back to the issues because they are the ones who are engaging in the deflection, okay?”

The political firestorm erupted after Piker accused Jewish institutions in America of “making antisemitism worse” and warning that continued support for Israel would lead to violence against American Jews, comparing Israel to “Jewish ISIS.”

The incendiary comments triggered swift backlash. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) condemned the sentiment as “dangerous and antisemitic,” while Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) torched Piker as a “hack who thrives on hate, shock, and awe.”

El-Sayed issued a weak statement in response, claiming that “nobody speaks for this campaign besides me and my campaign spokespeople” and insisting he stands against rhetoric that puts communities at risk.

But Piker said that El-Sayed’s PR pivot is simply theater meant to deflect media scrutiny while keeping his supporters close.

El-Sayed has steadfastly refused to dump his online buddy. On “Meet the Press,” El-Sayed brushed off Piker’s infamous 9/11 comments as just a “dumb statement” and whined about “cancel culture” instead of condemning Piker.

When pressed by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on whether he would renounce Piker following warnings from Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), El-Sayed doubled down, insisting he was focused on reaching Piker’s millions of followers.

Michigan GOP senatorial candidate Mike Rogers slammed El-Sayed’s PR maneuvers, saying, “Abdul’s attempt at distancing himself from this violent and hateful rhetoric now that he and Hasan won the primary is the epitome of what a conman does — says one thing when it serves him and another when it doesn’t.”

RNC spokeswoman Natalie Baldassarre has dubbed the candidate a “terrorist sympathizer,” and “America-hating socialist,” adding, “His refusal to distance himself from Hamas-hugging radicals like Hasan Piker reaffirms his true allegiance is to terrorist groups, not America. Democrats’ refusal to disavow this clown shows they either share his poisonous ideology or they’re too cowardly to confront it.”
