  • On Election Day, Homeland Security Investigations announced two more arrests of noncitizens for allegedly voting.
  • 195 aliens have been charged with illegally voting in just the past nine weeks.
  • DOJ has 1,000 federal election monitors across the country Election Day.

Homeland Security Investigations made Election Day announcements of two more arrests of noncitizens for allegedly casting illegal votes in previous years.

This follows dozens of arrests, mostly this year, for voting offenses by noncitizens.

“If you vote illegally in this country, and you are NOT eligible to vote, @DHSgov will find you, hunt you down, and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Only American citizens should be deciding American elections,” Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin posted on X Tuesday.

Homeland Security Investigations announced that it had arrested a Finnish national in Philadelphia for allegedly registering to vote and voting in the 2024 general election.

Also, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Homeland Security Investigations arrested a Philippine national for allegedly registering to vote and voting in the 2022 election.

The Justice Department late Monday announced election-related charges involving 63 people nationwide, including at least 19 defendants whose cases had already been publicly announced last month.

Since the beginning of the second Trump administration in January 2025, the Justice Department has charged 239 people with voting fraud-related offenses. The department said 195 aliens were charged in the past nine weeks.

“These foreign nationals allegedly took advantage of the trust of the American people and flouted the laws that govern our nation’s elections,” Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. “This Department of Justice will continue investigating and prosecuting voter fraud to restore confidence in our electoral system.”

The Justice Department deployed about 1,000 election monitors across all 50 states Tuesday.

“Election integrity has been one of the top priorities for this Administration and this Division,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon of the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice.

“I am very proud we are deploying the largest monitoring effort in DOJ history and pursuing transparency for elections in an assertive and nondiscriminatory manner,” Dhillon added.

The NAACP and other liberal groups have sued to prevent the use of federal law enforcement officials as election monitors.

The Justice Department first began deploying federal election monitors after the 1965 Voting Rights Act. The number of monitors deployed has generally been fewer; in 2016, the Justice Department announced the deployment of about 500 election monitors. However, in 2004, the department deployed 1,996 election monitors, almost twice as many as the DOJ has announced deploying this year.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
