Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is running on a clean-cut platform, touting police endorsements and boasting he’ll work “hand in hand with law enforcement.”

But newly surfaced audio paints a far different story.

On his campaign trail against Republican Mike Rogers, a former FBI agent, El-Sayed flaunts an endorsement from the Wayne County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and runs slick YouTube ads claiming he has police backing. But during the peak defund-the-police hysteria in 2020 and 2021, El-Sayed was singing a very different tune on left-wing podcasts.

“In my experience, the police have never been out there to help me,” El-Sayed whined during a February 2021 interview, confessing that his “heart races” out of fear whenever he gets pulled over, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

In June of 2020, El-Sayed suggested American cops should be stripped of their firearms like British police, railing against police officers as a military force that “could have its way with us” and trashing police unions for sinking “their claws into politicians,” per the Free Beacon.

James Tignanelli, boss of the Police Officers Association of Michigan, torched El-Sayed’s comments, saying, “If you want to have good people doing this job, you need to provide them some kind of benefits and some kind of protection. That’s what we do. We can’t walk off the job like the UAW.”

El-Sayed’s campaign has since scrambled to delete old posts and write off his recorded anti-cop tirades as “dumb and unnuanced.”

The bashing of law enforcement is only half the story for El-Sayed, who is set to campaign with “Squad” leader Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

When asked on NBC’s Meet the Press about whether he or his family had any links to the Muslim Brotherhood, El-Sayed flatly claimed, “No.”

Social media tells a totally different story.

Unearthed posts from his half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi, a radical University of Chicago professor who was arrested last year for allegedly spitting on a state trooper during an anti-ICE riot, show her bragging about their family’s deep roots in the extremist movement. “Had an amazing talk with my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s,” Abdelhadi posted in 2012, later adding, “My family has long been MB.”

Their mother, Fatten Elkomy, worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency until 2004, when the U.S. Treasury shut it down for funneling cash to al-Qaeda and Hamas. El-Sayed’s mother was named over a dozen times in court documents linked to the terror group.

On top of that, El-Sayed himself was among “Morsi Supporters in America” who endorsed a 2012 statement cheering on the Brotherhood’s Egyptian regime. El-Sayed’s father-in-law sits on the board of the Islamic Society of North America, considered by many to be the U.S. front for the Muslim Brotherhood.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
