“I’m confirming that ICE is, yea look, I said months ago that it’s something that has been reported and needs to be looked at,” Homan said on Fox News’ “The Sunday Briefing.”

“I’m not going to comment on ongoing criminal investigations. I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening. But we’ll see,” he continued. “No one is above the law. We will let HSI, Homeland Security Investigations, continue the investigation.”

Omar and her staff have repeatedly denied the allegations. Last year, her chief of staff called it a “ridiculous lie.” However, DHS seems to disagree.

At the Republican National Committee’s Midterm Convention last week, Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin said, in reference to Omar, “Something’s going to happen.”

“We know that she married her brother to bring him into the United States; we know he lives now in London,” Mullin told political commentator Benny Johnson.

“There may be more to this, the whole family migration, and possibly some illegal activity for them to come to the United States to begin with. …If we can prove it, that you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we’ll deport you,” Mullin continued.

Omar is a naturalized citizen of the United States, For DHS to deport her, it would need to go through the denaturalization process. Homan described denaturalization as “a very serious process” that has been done before.

“Denaturalization is a process—it’s a very serious process. So, if someone lies through that process to become a citizen and we can prove they, in fact, lied or misrepresented themselves, we can absolutely denaturalize them. We’ve done it before many times over the last 40 years that I’ve been around,” Homan said.

Homan continued, defending his department’s investigation and claiming there is nothing political about it.

“ICE is enforcing the law that Congress wrote. I mean, these are all laws that are in statute in the Immigration Nationality Act, which was written by Congress, enacted by Congress, and signed by the president. ICE, HSI, DHS, none of us are making this up. Our job is to enforce the laws enacted by Congress, and that’s exactly what we are going to do,” he concluded.

I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
