Sen. Jon Ossoff has railed against wealthy elites, billionaires, and “corruption” dozens of times out on the campaign trail, but the Democrat seems to keep quiet about the nearly 50 out-of-state billionaires who have funded his race for Senate.

Back in July, the Washington Free Beacon reported on 39 billionaires who have donated to Ossoff in his race against Rep. Mike Collins. Between July and September, campaign filings show at least eight new billionaire donors, with each one giving the maximum contribution.
“The vast sums of corporate and billionaire money in our political system, with or without [President Donald] Trump, are why ordinary people are so ill-served by elected officials and by Congress,” Ossoff said on the “Pod Save America” podcast a little more than a year ago.
Yet, since 2025, at least 47 billionaires have bankrolled his campaign, and those wealthy elites don’t live in Georgia. In fact, finance filings obtained by the Washington Reporter indicate that, since 2017, Ossoff has had almost 100 billionaires donate to his political career.
Josh McKoon, chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, commented on Ossoff’s hypocrisy, telling the Daily Signal, “When Congressman Collins pressed him in debate to condemn [billionaire] Reid Hoffman or return the money, Ossoff dodged. That is the definition of saying one thing and doing another.”
In a press release from Ossoff’s website dated Feb. 7 of this year, he said, “We were told that MAGA was for working-class Americans. But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich.”
The senator continued, “This is the Epstein class ruling our country. They are the elites they pretend to hate. … Trump was supposed to fight for the working class, instead he’s literally closing rural clinics and hospitals to cut taxes for George Soros and Elon Musk.”
George Soros, and his son Alex Soros, are megadonors to the Ossoff campaign, Washington Free Beacon reported.
Stewart Bragg, general consultant at JLK Political Strategies, commented on Ossoff and his claims about money in politics.
“Ossoff rails against billionaires in his speeches and calls President Trump part of the ‘Epstein Class’, yet his campaign accepts their financial support,” Bragg told the Daily Signal. “You can’t claim to fight billionaire influence while benefiting from their money.”
Another concern for the candidate’s integrity is fundraising stints.
This week, Ossoff traveled to Los Angeles for a fundraiser, an “evening reception in Beverly Hills,” with tickets starting at $3,500 and increasing to $25,000 per person. The event was hosted by former U.S. ambassador to Spain James Costos and American interior designer Michael Sean Smith, who was responsible for the 2010 makeover of the Oval Office under President Barack Obama.
The funds from the night were for the Ossoff Victory Fund, with proceeds to be used for his campaign and for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
McKoon says it’s just more hypocrisy.
“His campaign has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from dozens of out-of-state billionaires since 2025—people like George Soros, members of the Pritzker family, Melinda French Gates, and Reid Hoffman.” he stated.
“If billionaire money is the root of corruption in politics, as he claims, he should start by looking at his own FEC filings,” McKoon added.
At the end of the day, Bragg said, “Georgians should look at his record, not just his talking points.”
The Ossoff campaign did not respond to the Daily Signal’s request for comment.
