Tony Romo’s Future At CBS Sports In Question After Arrest
CBS Sports lead analyst Tony Romo is on leave “until further notice,” CBS announced on Friday following Romo’s arrest on suspicion of operating while intoxicated last week.

“Tony Romo is on leave from his role at CBS Sports until further notice,” the network said in a statement.
It remains unclear whether Romo was placed on leave by the network or if he chose to take a leave of absence.
The former NFL quarterback has been the lead NFL analyst for CBS Sports since 2017 following his playing career with the Dallas Cowboys.
Former Texans defensive end and current analyst J.J. Watt will replace Romo and work alongside Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson, per ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Romo, 46, was hit with three citations from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office after the July 23 traffic stop. He was taken into custody after he struggled to understand instructions for a field-sobriety test, body cam footage shows.
He was booked and released after the arrest.
His next court appearance is September 21, which will be at the end of week two of the NFL season.
