David Daleiden made national headlines in 2015 when his undercover videos exposed policies at Planned Parenthood that allowed the alleged sale of parts of aborted babies.

'As promised, the final charge has been DISMISSED and the case completely expunged.'

Harris, who was the attorney general of California at the time, began the investigation against Daleiden that resulted in more than a dozen dubious felony charges accusing him of violating privacy laws.

On Thursday, Daleiden announced that the final charge in his case had been dropped and the case "expunged."

"As promised, the final charge has been DISMISSED and the case completely expunged — after a couple months' administrative delay, and a truly bizarre last-minute 'April Fool's' attempt by [Planned Parenthood] and [the National Abortion Federation] to overturn the State's agreement."

Daleiden had previously celebrated a deal in which the state dropped charges against him if he agreed to enter a plea of "no contest" that would later be converted to "not guilty" and dismissed.

The office of Democrat Attorney General Rob Bonta did not respond to a request for comment from Blaze News.

"After enduring 9 years of weaponized political prosecution," Daleiden wrote in Jan. 2025, "putting an end to the lawfare launched by Kamala Harris is a huge victory for my investigative reporting and for the public's right to know the truth about Planned Parenthood's sale of aborted baby body parts. Now we all must get to work to protect families and infants from the criminal abortion-industrial complex."

The activist's videos led to two companies admitting to illegally selling aborted baby parts from Planned Parenthood abortion centers. The companies agreed to a $7.8 million settlement in 2017 and agreed to shut down operations in California.

A spokesperson for Planned Parenthood denied wrongdoing in 2015 and accused Daleiden of targeting women with his undercover videos.

"The California attorney general filing criminal charges sends a clear message that you cannot target women and you cannot target health care providers without consequences," said Mary Alice Carter.

Lila Rose of Live Action applauded the development in Daleiden's case on social media.

"After a decade of California bureaucrats attempting to prosecute, bankrupt and imprison David Daleiden for his courageous and groundbreaking pro-life reporting, they have officially FAILED," she wrote. "David beat Goliath, and he’s only getting started."

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
