Pop star Britney Spears was charged in California on Thursday for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, the Associated Press reported.

The 44-year-old faces a single misdemeanor count of driving under the combined influence of alcohol and at least one drug, authorities said. Police did not specify the type of drug she had taken.
On March 4, Spears was arrested on suspicion of D.U.I. after officers observed her driving at a high rate of speed and erratically.
Spears is set to be arraigned next Monday in Ventura County Superior Court.
