The Pima County Sheriff’s Department stated that it received numerous complaints about individuals blocking roadways, trespassing, and disrupting the peace in the neighborhood.
Authorities told The Daily Wire that deputies initially issued warnings, posted no-trespassing signs, and cited violators, but some individuals continued to ignore the restrictions.
Sheriff Chris Nanos, under fire for his handling of the Guthrie investigation, directed deputies to crack down after surveillance video showed one of the streamers urinating in public behind a makeshift tent.
“Sheriff Nanos will no longer tolerate behavior that disrupts the community or violates the law,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement to The Daily Wire, noting individuals found in violation of the law may be cited and released on a first offense.
“However, repeat offenders may be arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of public nuisance under Arizona Revised Statute 13-2917, a Class 2 misdemeanor,” the statement added.
That is precisely what happened to at least two of the streamers who had been roaming the upscale and secluded Tucson neighborhood where Nancy Guthrie disappeared on February 1.
Alexander Zabel Junior, 54, was charged with two counts of obstructing a highway or thoroughfare and one count of public nuisance. He runs the “Criminal Network” YouTube channel, which has about 23,000 subscribers. One of Junior’s recent videos shows him canvassing the neighborhood and camping out in the pitch-black dark. At one point, a sheriff’s deputy approached him and warned him against pitching a tent.
Troy Lewis Bradshaw, 34, was charged with one count of public nuisance. He hosts the “DAA JUICE” YouTube page, which has about 20,000 subscribers. Authorities also approached Bradshaw, warning him to leave the neighborhood, according to his latest YouTube upload.
Both individuals were booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex. A third individual, Damian Todd Enderle, 46, was charged with one count of public nuisance. He was cited and released. It’s unclear whether the streamers are local to the area.
The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, captured international attention and wall-to-wall media coverage for weeks. With few leads, the public has been left with more questions than answers, fueling intense speculation.
Savannah said her mother was abducted in her pajamas, with no shoes, leaving behind everything, including critical medication that kept the 84-year-old alive. After Savannah’s sister called 911 on February 1, the “Today” show host said it didn’t take long for the siblings to know something was very wrong.
“My brother, you know, he spent his career in the military and worked in intelligence and is a fighter pilot and is brilliant,” Savannah said. “He saw very clearly right away what this was. Even on the phone when I called him, he knew. And he said I think she’s been kidnapped for ransom.”
The popular television personality admitted the possibility that her mother was targeted due to her public prominence.
“It’s too much to bear to think I brought this to her bedside, that it’s because of me,” Savannah told her former co-anchor. “If it is me … I’m so sorry.”
