Trump Admin Invites Illegal Immigrants To ‘Head Home For The Holidays’ By Self-Deporting

The Trump administration has a holiday message for illegal immigrants.

In a new video released by the Department of Homeland Security on X, federal officials are inviting anyone who is in the country illegally to head “home for the holidays” by self-deporting.

The old-timey-themed black-and-white video opens with the message, “DHS presents ‘Home For The Holidays,” before flashing the message, “Use the CBP Home app to head home for the holidays.” The video then shows smiling illegal immigrants boarding planes, children receiving stuffed animals, and one man flashing a thumbs up to the camera, appearing to show a better alternative to arrest and deportation.

The Trump administration launched the CBP Home app to encourage illegal immigrants to leave on their own and without fear of arrest by federal authorities who have been aggressively conducting raids across the nation. The Department of Homeland Security foots the bill for anyone who leaves using the app, while also providing a $1,000 “exit bonus.”

“If you are here illegally, use the CBP Home app to take control of your departure and receive financial support to return home,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement about the program.

“If you don’t, you will be subjected to fines, arrest, deportation, and will never be allowed to return. If you are in this country illegally, self-deport NOW and preserve your opportunity to potentially return the legal, right way,” she said.

More than 1.6 million illegal immigrants have self-deported from the United States, while the feds have deported more than half a million others, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

President Donald Trump set a goal of deporting one million illegal immigrants per year as part of his historic crackdown.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
