President Donald Trump and former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s relationship is, in fact, as toxic as they let on.

So much so, the White House told the Secret Service that MTG may have tipped off leftist CODEPINK protesters about Trump’s whereabouts last fall, per Axios.
In September, Trump dined at Joe’s Seafood in Washington, D.C., per Greene’s recommendation, according to Axios. Trump was out to dinner with Vice President JD Vance and several prominent cabinet members to show how the city was doing after the Trump Administration deployed the National Guard to crack down on crime.
His dinner turned into a debacle when President Trump was met with CODEPINK protesters who yelled, “Free DC! Free Palestine! Trump is the Hitler of our time!” toward the president, creating a ruckus in the restaurant, Axios reported.
CODEPINK is an anti-war group made up primarily of women with alleged ties to the “Communist Chinese government.”
Two sources on Trump’s team told Axios about the Secret Service’s involvement in last fall’s protest-filled dinner outing.
Greene told Axios her involvement in tipping off Trump’s location to protesters is “an absolute lie, a dangerous lie. I would never do that.” Greene also told the outlet that only the notable restaurant and Trump’s aides knew about the reservation.
“The story you should be writing is why didn’t the Secret Service sweep the restaurant?” Greene told Axios.
It remains unclear if the Secret Service is investigating Greene. The former congresswoman declined to say whether she’s been contacted by the Secret Service, according to Axios.
After the chaotic dinner last fall, Trump called for an investigation into CODEPINK, demanding that the protesters be “put in jail.”
Axios noted the former representative repeatedly called White House staffers the day of the dinner to ensure Trump was still going. Greene maintains that even though she recommended the restaurant to the Commander in Chief, she didn’t know when he would go.
Greene, who is apparently a regular at Joe’s Seafood, didn’t show up the night of September 9 when Trump and other officials arrived, which was odd according to Trump’s aides.
MTG has a documented friendship with CODEPINK co-founder Medea Benjamin. In fact, Benjamin last year praised Greene for opposing Trump’s bombing of nuclear sites in Iran.
Greene and Trump have vehemently disagreed on foreign policy in his second term, with Greene claiming Trump abandoned his “America First” agenda. Greene was also publicly opposed to the One Big Beautiful Bill.
Though the former staunch ally of Trump left office this week, their feud continues.
