‘Answer Straight!’: Tish Hyman Crashes Swalwell’s Town Hall, Demands Answer On Men In Women’s Spaces

Gym rat and singer turned activist Tish Hyman crashed Rep. Eric Swalwell’s (D-CA) recent town hall event, demanding answers from him regarding whether he would support women’s sex-based rights or would continue to allow trans-identifying men to invade women’s spaces.

Swalwell, who just recently announced that he was running to be the next governor of California, was trying to tout his personal record as a prosecutor when it came to crimes against women. Hyman, the subject of a recent viral video involving a trans-identifying man in the women’s locker room at her gym, pressed him repeatedly to recognize that men were not women, regardless of how they choose to identify.

“First, ma’am, you asked I think the most emotionally poignant question and I want to start with you,” Swalwell began, and immediately began to give his resume on prosecuting crimes against women. “I will not be a governor that tolerates violence against women in our state, period. That’s not gonna happen. It’s not.”

A number in the audience applauded, but that was when things started to get a little bit sticky.

“Now, as it relates, you know, to the issue of —” Swalwell continued.

“Men,” Hyman interjected.

“—trans kids —” Swalwell tried again.

“Men,” Hyman repeated.

“— particularly in sports —” Swalwell said.

“Men, in women’s space,” Hyman insisted. “Harassing, and you said it wasn’t a thing. 14 times you said it wasn’t a thing. So I need you to show all the women of California that you’re gonna protect us.”

“I’m going to protect women,” Swawell said. “I did as a prosecutor, I will protect women. No woman should be harassed —”

“Are there gonna be men allowed in the women’s room anymore?” Hyman shouted. “We need to know!”

“No woman should be harassed in a locker room, that’s a crime,” Swalwell said.

“Answer straight!” Hyman demanded. “Are there gonna be women — are you against men in women’s locker rooms and sports? That’s all you need to answer. Please!”

Swalwell did not answer directly but continued to insist that he would protect women and that women “should not be harassed” while in locker rooms.

“It’s happening all over America. There are 45 men in the women’s prisons right now raping them! Picking them out like chicken. Trans men are NOT women! They are raping women. So I don’t care if you’re on the Democrat side, the Republican side, we need to be on the women’s side, people!” Hyman demanded. “It’s happening to our girls, it’s happening to our women, and I’m here to let everyone know that this is happening. Open your eyes!”
