EPSTEIN UPDATE: Trump’s DOJ To Miss Friday Deadline, Says It’s Not Prepared To Release All Epstein Files

The Justice Department will need more time to release all of the remaining documents related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, missing Friday’s deadline that was stipulated in the law signed by President Donald Trump last month.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told “Fox & Friends” on Friday that “several hundred thousand documents” would be made public on Friday, but “several hundred thousand” more documents won’t be released until the coming weeks.

“The most important thing that the attorney general has talked about, that [FBI Director Kash] Patel has talked about, is that we protect victims, and so what we are doing is we are looking at every single piece of paper that we are going to produce, making sure that every victim, their name, their identity, their story to the extent that it needs to be protected is completely protected.”

Blanche said that the dump on Friday will include numerous forms of documents, including photos. The Justice Department has been “working tirelessly” as it sifts through “every single document” to ensure that victims are protected before the information in the documents is made public. The bill passed by Congress and signed by Trump last month allows the Trump administration to withhold information on victims, including images of child sexual abuse.

Blanche added that President Trump “has said for years, that he wants full transparency, and he wants the Department of Justice to release everything that we can in respect to this investigation.” The deputy attorney general then blasted Democrats who are now focusing on the Epstein case after there was “radio silence” on the issue during the Biden administration.

The Epstein investigation has plagued the Trump administration since the summer, when the Justice Department said that it found no evidence of an Epstein client list, and President Trump called the issue a “hoax.”

The Trump administration has also faced criticism from a few Republican lawmakers over its handling of the Epstein case. On Friday, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie shared an image of the bill signed into law by Trump, highlighting the sentence that requires the release of the files within 30 days.

“Time’s up. Release the files,” Massie said.

The Justice Department did not say when on Friday it would release the hundreds of thousands of documents slated to become public. Neither did the Trump administration say when exactly the remaining files would be released.

So far, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee has released over 50,000 pages of documents and thousands of photos from the Epstein estate. While prominent politicians and powerful people, such as Trump and former President Bill Clinton, have been named in the files and images of them with Epstein have also been released. A photo obtained by The Daily Wire on Thursday shows Clinton and Epstein standing side-by-side.

Both Trump and Clinton were close to Epstein at one time, but neither of them has been implicated in any of Epstein’s crimes, nor have they been accused of wrongdoing by any of Epstein’s victims.
