FBI Thwarts Potential Halloween Weekend ‘Terrorist Attack’

The FBI has “thwarted a potential terrorist attack,” according to the agency’s director.

“This morning the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X Friday morning.

Patel thanked the “men and women of FBI and law enforcement everywhere standing guard 24/7 and crushing our mission to defend the homeland.”

Patel indicated more information about the thwarted attack would be made public soon.

“Protecting the Homeland is our top priority. We will not rest,” Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino wrote on X immediately following Patel’s statement.

Following Patel and Bongino’s post on social media, Fox News reports that the plot had ties to ISIS.

Fox News spoke with a top federal law enforcement source who confirmed the connection to international terrorism, but additional information was not immediately available.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
