Freedom Caucus Creates New PAC for 2026 Elections 

The House Freedom Caucus has announced the creation of a new political action committee (PAC) designed to boost the fortunes of conservative candidates through early candidate support and strategic fundraising. 

The Freedom Caucus Fund is dedicated to supporting members of the House Freedom Caucus and will replace the House Freedom Action and the House Freedom Fund. 

The news comes as Democrat wins this past weekend in two special election runoffs in Texas, including flipping the long-Republican District 9, brings renewed focus on how conservative organizations and leaders are preparing for the midterms, now only nine months away  

The Freedom Caucus Fund announced the change on X. 

Freedom Caucus member Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., said, “Some groups offer candidates token support, but the Freedom Caucus Fund is different. Freedom Caucus Fund provides candidates with substantial resources to help them win.” 

The House Freedom Fund PAC has been assisting in directly supporting and endorsing conservative House candidates, while the House Freedom Action super PAC has contributed to independent expenditures such as political advertising. 

Allison Weisenberger, House Freedom Fund director of operations, explained the reason for the merger to The Daily Signal in an email: “We formed the Freedom Caucus Fund so supporters across the country know that this is the only group laser focused on electing and defending members of the House Freedom Caucus. This streamlined structure will make it easier for our supporters to help elect men and women committed to fighting for freedom and standing for taxpayers.” 

The Freedom Caucus Fund supports the best conservative House candidates in America. The fund backs those who “have a track record of fighting for conservative principles, are totally committed to working to codify President [Donald] Trump‘s America First agenda as well as have the ability to win,” said Weisenberger. 

The fund’s launch comes as House Republicans begin entering the 2026 election season, potentially giving endorsed candidates a head start in fundraising and outreach. 

Weisenberger stated, “The House Freedom Caucus is the conservative conscience of Republicans in Washington. Now more than ever we need more Freedom Caucus members elected to help codify the President’s agenda.” 

Current endorsements include prominent House conservatives such as Reps. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; Andy Harris, R-Md.; Andrew Clyde, R-Ga.; Paul Gosar, R-Ariz.; and Lauren Boebert, R-Colo.
